Strategy RPGs have been a bit overdue for something to reinvigorate the genre, for the most part it's been a game type that suffers from being too repetitive with nothing coming even close to topping the current king of the hill, Final Fantasy Tactics....

Knights in the Nightmare is a solid addition to the PSP library. If you managed to fly through Persona 3 Portable I cannot find a more suitable replacement.

Have to go through multiple tutorials to understand what you’re actually supposed to do and how. Can be quite difficult and confusing even after doing so. Story can be hard to keep track of since it jumps around. The Leveling option from the DS version...
