SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo 3 Review

Getting tactical on the go.

Simplified but strong tactical combat; Good controls for the PSP; Lot sof customizaion options and unlockables; Strong local and online multiplayer

Weak story and characters; A.I.-controlled enemies are dumb

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3

Did you know there have been almost as many SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs games released on the PSP (four) as there have been on both the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 combined (five)? It would appear Sony's portable handheld system has become the platform...

Fireteam Bravo 3 is the best SOCOM title Slant Six Games has produced thus far, but it's a much better multiplayer experience than it is a single player game. Single player is hampered by a weak storyline and a campaign that's far too easy by default....

As good as a shooter can be with no second analogue stick

Technically solid ; Long range headshots ; Great range of options

Solo players are only getting half a game ; Still needs a second analogue stick ; Flaws get augmented on more difficult settings

There is also a wealth of multiplayer options here that would make many console shooters look inadequate: 16 player competitive matches with a good spread of game types and even a custom mission mode that lets you tweak maps to play in different ways....

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3

Fireteam Bravo 3 has the makings of a rewarding shooter, but it lacks the freshness and tactical depth that made its predecessors so engaging.

Great array of weapons ; Slick competitive multiplayer

Fairly easy, with little tactical depth ; Straightforward, uninteresting mission objectives ; Unexciting combat

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 Review

For years the SOCOM series has covered Sony's consoles and solidified itself as one of the top contenders that they have on their side. The newest edition to the Fireteam series continues the trend of squad based tactics while also adding some new...

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo 3 Sony PSP Review

Fireteam Bravo 3 takes a nice break from the norm when it comes to story. Rather than taking orders from a higher-up screaming through an earpiece, you direct a four-man squad as Wraith, a highly trained military man who knows how to put someone down....

Custom missions and rewards make the game feel like your own, you don't have to take commands from a flaky government op, looks and sounds good, strong support for both co-op and competitive multiplayer

Way too easy on lighter difficulties, command system takes a little getting used to, story mode ends too soon

Ten-hut, soldier! It's time to return to the battlefield with another entry in the SOCOM franchise. So far, the action-oriented Fireteam Bravo games have left quite an impression on PSP fans, despite the heated competition on consoles. Now it's back...

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 - Review

The PSP certainly makes it tough for shooter developers. The lack of a second analog stick means that they can't make use of the de facto shooter control scheme that's been in use for over a decade. A number of schemes have been tried, and some have...

Fireteam Bravo 3 manages to be fun in spite of a decided lack of challenge.

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3

The SOCOM series has had something of a chequered history. The series began life on the PlayStation 2 in a rather dramatic fashion with two games that proved to be very popular as a multiplayer experience. By the third title in the series it was...

SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 is another fine PSP addition to the series which will certainly please those who have enjoyed the previous PSP SOCOM titles. The game's campaign is decent and the ability to customise the campaign missions and play...

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs -- Fireteam Bravo 3

The Fireteam Bravo series returns to PSP with a storyline that finds the four-man squad on a hunt for an ex-KGB agent who may know where weapons of mass destruction are being hidden. As a Navy SEAL commander, you must order your team to perform various ta
