Spider-Man 2

Before the review, let me tell you guys that I am a huge Spiderman fan. I like the films, love the comics and cartoons, and I think (with a few exceptions) the games are fantastic. Since Spiderman 2 was an excellent game for the big consoles (with the...

"Spider-Man 2 isn't a great game, but it's far from being poor and unworthy of your attention."

Spider-Man 2

I've reviewed just about every version of Spider-Man 2. In fact, I own just about every version of Spider-Man 2. I have the movie on UMD and DVD, I have the console version for Xbox and PS2, the DS version and now the PSP version. So, needless to say,...

When all is said and done, Spider-Man 2 is pretty entertaining but not particularly worth the cost. If it were a little longer or if it encompassed some of the traits of it's console cousins then maybe. It's definitely a nice showcase for the graphic...

Spider-Man 2

Spider-Man 2 for PSP is a decent game, but after the success of its bigger cousin versions, this one might seem a bit restricted. The graphics are great, and there's some good fun to have here, but don't expect this one to be a deciding factor in your...

All photographs representing screenshots from PSP LCD monitor and related images were taken using 3.2 MP digital camera. The replication and quality of the screen shots are not true representations of the picture/video quality. In fact, the actual...

Spider-Man 2 review for the PSP

All spun out.

Given its full price and lack of substance, Spider-Man 2 is a tough recommendation. Aside from some nice graphics and levels design, it simply fails to offer much more than a subpar swing through the city.

Spider-Man 2

It seems that Spider-Man is popping up all over the place. After two incredible movies and two fun console games based on the movies, the world has once again caught “Spidey Fever.” Spider-Man has popped up on the PS2, Xbox, GameCube, mobile phones,...

There are several levels of difficulty and you can find a few unlockable extras in the game. Each level is short and is really designed with a handheld console in mind. Besides the weak pull of a good challenge, there arent a lot of other reasons to...

Spider-Man 2

Great hardware does not make bad games tolerable. Spidey swings onto Sony's portable, but not even web slinging can shake all its problems.

Great outdoor visuals; decent combat; easy to pick up and play

Too short; spastic and uncontrollable camera; lacks depth

Spider-Man 2

Spidey lands on the PSP, but does he pull it off as well as on the consoles?

What hurts the game the most is how short the game is. Levels tend to be 2 to 5 minutes of playtime with a total of 19 levels. Doing the math, you can see how the game won't last very long. A good player will likely beat the game on normal difficulty...

Spider-Man 2

Spidey does PSP in a big way. Hands-on impressions inside.

The branching upgrade system and hero points system allows for a hell of a lot of replay, the open-ended structure to solving missions (rescue the hostages first or just go in, web shooters blazing?) and the resurrection of some great Spider-Man...

Product Specifications

Two years have passed since Peter Parker first hit the streets of New York City as the conflicted crime-fighter Spider-Man. Now he finds himself battling his most diabolical villain yet, the mechanized, multi-tentacled Doc Ock. The nefarious Doc Ock was once Dr. Otto Octavius, a brilliant nuclear physicist. But a freak accident transformed him from a timid researcher to a criminally insane megalomaniac who blames Spider-Man for his horrible transformation. Now the scientist Peter once idolized for his remarkable intellect has marked the spider manr death. Experience total freedom as you soar through the concrete canyons of a living, breathing Manhattan, complete with familiar landmarks and bustling, traffic-clogged streets. True non-linear gameplay means you can web-swing wherever you like, whenever you like, exploring the vast metropolis and reliving scenes from the Spider-Man 2 movie. Combat petty thugs and aid NYC citizens in challenging side-quests, or pursue the lunatic Doc Ock and other classic Spider-Man rivals. The decision is yours. Take Manhattan for a spin in Spider-Man 2.
