Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror - PSP review at Thunderbolt Games

I would like to meet the makers of Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror. I would like to sit down with them and ask why they are the only people who have managed to cram a decent action game onto the PSP. I would congratulate them on crafting such a brilliant...

Gabe Logan is back, and we couldn't be happier.

Great wireless online play, wonderfull offline missions, a decent story, solid presentation and better-than-PSP-ought-to-have graphics and sound make for one of the best experiences on the PSP yet. Buy this game.

The Syphon Filter franchise made an acclaimed debut back on the original PlayStation and has since slowly fizzled into obscurity. With its debut on the PSP in Dark Mirror, it has managed to achieve success again through excellent use of the platform...

Great single-player campaign ; Multiplayer has a lot of depth ; Solid controls

The face buttons for aiming could be difficult to grasp

A must own for any PSP owner's library.

Since the portable system's launch a year ago this past March, Sony's PSP has seen its share of solid releases. Titles like Lumines, Wipeout Pure, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City and Burnout Legends come to mind, good games to be sure, but nothing I...

Simply put, Syphon Filter is the best PSP game to date. The singleplayer campaign is diverse and compelling, and what it lacks in terms of length is more than made up for by the equally wonderful multiplayer component. If you're looking for a game that...

Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror review for the PSP

A strong reflection.

Solid graphics; No load times; Excellent sound and voice work; Deep gameplay; Solid online multiplay

could have used more modes and maps; Weak plot, lame characters

As does the entire effort. Unlike so many awkward ports that don't quite know how they got there or why, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror is right at home on the PSP. It combines engrossing and detailed online play with a smart and difficult single player...

Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror Review

After a bit of a down period, Syphon Filter is back on top with the latest PSP release.

So, with the multiplayer options alone, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror would've soared to great heights. But the fact that Sony Bend put so much focus into the single player mode as well, along with the presentation, is what makes it stunning. It truly...

Solid Snake and Sam Fisher need to watch their backs... Gabe Logan is back in town.

Besides the Story Mode, which should take the average gamer 12 - 15 hours to take down, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror contains a Mission Mode and a Multiplayer mode. Mission Mode allows you to take on the various episodes again, in addition to some bonus...

Quite possibly the best game on the PSP yet.

Nice controls; slick visuals; captivating story; amazing variety of weapons

Multiplayer feels a little bit limited

I had never played a Syphon Filter game before, on any console. On the PS1, I was not interested in these types of games, and on the PS2 games such as Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid kept me occupied. However, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror being a PSP...

Syphon Filter Dark Mirror Review

OK, I'll admit it. I have a hard time getting into stealth based shooters. When I play any sort of game involving guns, my first instinct is always to go around shooting off the big guns and blowing things up. The larger the variety of guns, the better...
