X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse (PSP)

A good game plays by a set of clearly defined rules, and a great game gives you plenty of clever opportunities to break those rules. X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse breaks the rules by letting you to create a mutant dream team of heroes and...

X-Men Legends II - Rise of Apocalypse

There is no doubt that certain genres are getting a lot of play on thePSP. If you're a fan of racers and action games then Sony has youcovered, but things aren't as rosy for those who gravitate towardsrole-playing games. Thankfully Activision has a few...

With a lengthy story, plenty of playable characters, tons of extras, and online play, X-Men Legends 2 is one great adventure game. If you've put off getting the game so far then this PSP port is the version for you!

X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse

Last year's X-Men Legends proved that there could be a video game adaptation of comic book material that didn't suck. I even argued within my review of the original title that the combination of comic book lore, energetic fight sequences with varied...

Technical glitches aside, this is an excellent port of the console title that doesn't cut any corners with the story or a number of the features in the game, which is a feat in and of itself. Plus, the additional exclusive characters further boost a...

X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse

While not quite as strong as the console game, you really can't go wrong with a pocketful of mutants.

Solid port of a great game; huge roster of good and evil mutants is a kick; online in both ad hoc and infrastructure modes

Graphics can be too busy and occasionally dark; a ton of optional micromanagement breaks up the action

X-Men Legends II Rise of Apocalypse Sony PSP Review

To sweeten the deal, you can switch characters on the fly, and at certain points during the game, sub out the old for the new. This also means you'll need to be aware of their health bars and other meters of importance. If an X-Men dies you won't...

A pint-sized port of the great console game but with nine new missions and four extra characters

Way too much loading, and the frame rate takes a nose dive after the game is saved

Between the extremely dangerous bull fights and the salsa world championships (and I deny all reports that I partake in underground cock fighting), Senor Cha Cha is one busy guy. I'm so busy that I just don't have the time to play lots of console...

X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse

Activision's big multiplayer X-Men action RPG flies onto the PSP with excellent results.

Finally the last difference is if you want to go over the game with a fine tooth comb, you'll see that some of the geometry of the models have been reduced and more noticeably several textures have been reduced in quality in order for the game to fit...

X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse

Consoles aren't the only place the game's headed, first-hand impressions of the PSP version of Activision and Raven's mutant-fueled hack-n-slash.

There's still a little time for tweaking before the game's release, and at least in our short time with the game it was a minor inconvenience, since the rest of the game sure seems to be holding up well. Take a gander at the screens and see for...

X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse. PSP Review

Jason plays with portable mutants

The X-Men, where to begin? Once a humble comic, now a massive multimedia machine encompassing cartoons, movies and, of course, games. There have been a quite a few X-Men games over the years, some have been good, while others didn't deserve to even be...

X-Men Legends II – Rise of Apocalypse

The good and the bad join forces, but will they live up to their legendary mutant accolade?

Maybe we'd have had ours sooner if Will Smith hadn't screwed around in space killing aliens. Or maybe it's Bruce Willis' fault for saving us from Armageddon. Still, like the Greeks, you can be sure of one thing, that we'll always have some stupid...

Fun if you have patience and great eyesight!

This game is great fun to play and is great playing with the X Men powers such as freezing the baddies with Iceman, although this game suffers as it is hard to see what was going on in dark environments on a small screen. Also for some reason, I wasn't...
