Better than a 100w Yamaha amp!

I'm pleased with this, and I can't imagine that anybody putting together a budget stereo setup would be unhappy here. I've used it to power a pair of big Klipsch floorstanders as well (95db) and it worked well there too. Whenever I do replace it, I'll...

Plays nicely with my 89db Definitive Technology StudioMonitor350s, which are known for being very power-hungry. I use this rig for computer speakers (each monitor about two feet from my head & 3-4ft apart) with a powered Polk sub as well. It can crank...

There's an auto-power-off feature that confuses a lot of people; there's a switch on the back to disable it, but that doesn't completely work. It only affects Input 1, so use Input 2 for anything you don't want it to be all auto-power-off for. (It...

Nice sound

I had the 2 inputs from my computer and a CD player with one sub woofer output and 2 bookshelf speakers. Input 2 worked fine but no sub woofer on input 1. Don't know why .... so I bought a RCA switch and ran both into input 2. I was surprised that no...

Not the Best, for the price it is still irritating

the sound clicks in for someone to talk, the musical score is not playing in the background. I don't no why it doesn't always do it but enough to be irritating.

Great Amp for the $$$

the pop i describe only happens on one of my amps. the right channel one. might be something i did wrong in the setup, but the left one does not do this.

the amp will sleep after a few minutes of no signal. great for saving power costs. provides very clean signal in mono mode. I run 2 of these amps in mono mode. one is dedicated to right and one is dedicated to left

they 'pop' when waking up from sleep. not an issue, but it makes my wife ask "what was that noise" after she turns on the TV

Weak

I purchased this for two 50 watt, 2-way outdoor speakers (4'' woofer) I already had. I have not made the permanant installation yet, but in testing this amp with those speakers, I'm dissapointed in it's output. It claims 50 watts RMS per channel, but...

Product Specifications

AudioSource has produced a distinguished line of stereo power amplifiers. AudioSource's amps provide high sound pressure levels, as well as subtle details with accuracy and transparency. You won't find better sounding amps at anywhere near the price. A torodial power transformer keeps stray magnetic fields to a minimum and the discrete output devices ensure pure signal fidelity. Separate channel level controls allow for individual adjustment. A defeatable peak limiter circuit protects speakers form distortion at high volumes and an auto-circuit power up the unit with a preamp signal and powers it down when no signal is present. AMP 100 is a stereo amplifier with 50 watts per channel, aux power for Home-theater receivers or single zone distribution. The amp features A and B Speaker switching on front panel and independent Left and Right channel level controls.
