Great sound

Very low to non existent distortion all the way to max power. The power scale goes from -80 db to +10 db. I was a bit concerned with the fact that I am pushing 4-ohm model Ohm-H speakers with this AVR and that the manual only stated 30W not the 50W...

Company support via phone is guess where

Old stock received 12/2010

Haven't hooked it up yet, will write about that later

OLD STOCK, dated 08/2009 ; 30W per channel, NOT 50W as specified ; Harman/Kardon web site has an updated manual, 11/2009 that shows 50W per channel. Doesn't do much good when you receive old stock

Harman Kardon AVR1600 fits in nicely

If you have patience with connections then the AVR1600 is for you. The AVR1600 matches up real nice against the HK3485 when tested. But on this test, they both blow my Teac AG-790 Receiver out of the water.
