I purchased my TX SV727 to go with my Cerwin Vega's that had blew up my previous cheapie receiver. It was 1995. I paid $660.00 for it after talkng the salesman down nearly $100.00. Without a doubt the best money I could have spent with my budget back...

JVC RX-9010VBK

Excellent product. Did things well some receivers today don't do. USB connectivity for a receiver in 2002? Unheard of! One remote that does RF & Infrared, plus controls your infrared equipment in a closet via RF! And of course, great sound.

Classe CA-200 Amplifiers

Fantastic sounding amp, it beat the absolute hell out of a Rotel RB1090 and also an NAD M3 integrated amp ( I auditioned all of them inside my home for several months)The Classe sounded terrific, and that was before I upgraded my sound card.

Audio Alchemy OM150

I've owned a second-handed OM-150 for a month and I really like its sounding quality. I'm very interested in Tyxxon's review, especially his recommendation to "change the input and output caps to greater capacitance (15KuF instead of 10KuF) and degree...

Musical Fidelity XA-1 Integrated Amplifiers

The sonic aspects of the XA1 is hard to fault. No it doesn't have the ultimate extension in either extremes but there is something right about its sonic presentation. The midrange is near perfect with its open and transparent nature hinting more...

Conrad-Johnson Premier 8A Monoblocks

I have the XS versions (about 7 years now). They have been the best amps I have owned and the sound is incredibly good. Lately I have actively tri-amped the speakers (Jamo Oriels) with these on the midrange and an MV-55 on the tweeters (DIY Class-D...

Crown Studio Reference One

This amplifier is one of the very best I've ever heard. It's very unique in that it is not the least bit bright. Fact is, it's actually slightly dark, even compared to some very high end tube amps. Comparing to my extremely low distortion class A...

Adcom GFA-5200

Sounds super good! Got it for $100, and just can't find anything better suited to my needs. Driving it with an Adcom GTP-450 preamp, and wired to a pair of Polk M20's as my office stereo system. Very detailed, natural, and straightforward.

Onkyo PA-MC5501

Actually the Amplifier's power declared by manufacturer is 220W/Ch not 150. By the way, this this is a jewel. For real audio enthusiasts.

Roksan Caspian M-Series

To me, it’s all part of the package. It’s a smart physical design, smart engineering and really smart choice with regard to the sonic style it delivers. It’s unpretentious in style, and in black, unpretentious in look. If the Roksan Caspian works in...

Ampeg BA110

With only 30 watts and one 10" speaker, this amp will let you hear your bass more than feel it. No heavy air-pushing, "trouser leg flapping" effect here, and with a drummer you'll get buried. However, I wanted a portable amp suitable for duo gigs and...

SWR 750 X

A great amp. It will NOT compensate for bad speakers or a poor quality bass. The eq section doesn't add a lot of harmonic overtones, so you can't drastically alter your tone with the eq to compensate for poor speakers/bass. This amp has a lot of low...

Onkyo PA-MC5500

It may easy for some to dismiss the PA-MC5500 based on its less-than-rigorous power ratings. Don't be dissuaded. At a paltry $1699 MSRP (and a street price sure to be somewhat less), the PA-MC5500 has plenty of power for most systems. Add to that the...
