Seems great.

Would love to see this tech for less than $40, but for the price, this is pro gear.

Six emitter ports with 2 blasters on each port means this IR could conceivably drive a whole rack of 12 pieces of equipment (Comes with 4, add'l blasters come separately)

Only one IR receiver, so it will only work in one room (TV), with a rack of equipment in another room. Keep in mind, total cable length is about 9 feet for the blasters, 9 feet for the receiver = 18 feet total, with the box in between

It works great! I was concerned that my Plasma TV might cause it some problems, but I located the sensor away from the TV and have had no problems. I can now operate all equipment with the cabinet doors closed

works great!

works great even with a Comcast DCX3400 and Samsung BlueRay Player

was worrisome at first because I couldn't get the DVR to work. I took the faceplate off the DVR and put emitter right on the receptor without it working. I checked online and didn't see anything good... so, as a last-ditch effort, I moved the emitter a...

Great repeater

The emitter needs to stick on a surface facing your device. In this case it is the door to the cabinet holding the DVD/DVR/Amp/etc. This means I have some loose wires when I open the door. It's well worth it for the functionality though..

Works great. Blue light confirms reciept of signal. Haven't had it miss a thing

repeater emitters have weak glue on them. I'll need to improve upon this

Working Great

Im running mine over a 50' 22-4 conductor wire, working great.

affordable, expandable, 4 outputs with kit, universal ; IR receiver can be cut and spliced to extend distance from repeater

IR reciever doesn't look as good as some of the higher end units but this is negated by the huge difference in cost

Worked flawlessly

The cables are really long to the IR blasters, while the power cable is relatively short. Not a big deal. Just a little annoying for my install. Never had it break or fail.

Very easy to understand, but I discarded the IR Target that came with it and ended up using a Keystone IR Target (not sold on newegg). The only issue was making sure my wiring was correct for extending my IR target over cat 5, vs their default IR...

Comes with 2 double ended cables, not too bad, as you can add 4 more. The issue is the double sided clear sticky tape. It is not that strong. Not sure how else to fix it, but just dont tug hard on it

Works perfectly

The only problem I can perceive having is if the thing dies after a short period of time (as it did to the other reviewer). But if it doesn't break, this is an excellent device that I will recommend to others. I will change my post if I have any trouble.

Very easy setup. I had it out of the box and running in less than 10 minutes. I purchased this IR repeater because I couldn't adjust the volume on my TV from certain places in the living room (the TV is in cabinet) and I wanted to put my motorola...

The double sided tape that is supposed to hold the IR emitters to the equipment is pretty weak. Also, the "4 IR emitters" that come with the system are actually 2 double ended cords so if you have 3 devices which are all more than a few inches apart,...

Dead after 1 month

Cheap price

Dead after 3 weeks of installation. Customer service was helpful, but swapping a new product and losing my clients respect wasn't worth the price

Consumer review by:

Great product, best price for this category

Works as advertised and significantly cheaper than rivals. No issues whatsoever, works with 4 devices out of the box and that can be expanded significantly. No problems whatsoever.

Does what it says.

Works flawlessly. Cost seems a little high for what it does, but it's cheaper than direct comparable products. Stay away from the cheap wireless RF competitors; they are garbage.

Product Specifications

Does your entertainment system have wooden doors or would you like to mount your components in a closet? Without a clear line of sight infrared (IR) signals from a remote control will not reach the equipment. Cables to Go has the answer. The remote control repeater kit contains all equipment necessary to remotely operate 4 components (expandable to 12 components) using your standard remotes. Mount the IR receiver in a central location and connect to the IR distribution block. This block repeats the signals through emitters to your electronic components. Your components may now be mounted in your entertainment center, closet or another room! The kit is self-contained and easy to connect. With this kit you may mount a receiver in a convenient place on or near your entertainment system. The receiver has a 9 foot cable that is then attached to the repeater system that is mounted in your entertainment cabinet. The kit includes 4 emitters. These emitters are connected from the repeater system and placed over the IR receiver of the equipment. Simple installation and hook up while using your existing remotes.
