Don't buy it unless you've got 199 dollars to throw away. Pimped up clock radio.

Fun toy for nerds and nice colors. Widgets and touchsreen are cool

Screen small and hazy, radio noise

LOVE the chumby

I've owned a chumby through the Insider's Release program for a few months. What makes chumby great is its current AND future versatility.

instant information, versatile, easily altered, intriguing to others

nothing really bugs me about chumby

There just isn't anything like it

The Chumby is tough to describe. You don't really "need" one but when you have it you love it. I bought 2 extras for my family and in-laws and pre-configured the Chumby to display photos of my kids. They love it! But now they know they can look at...

Highly configurable, Out of the box goodies, just plain fun

Can't see your audio source when browsing widgets

I've had my Chumby since November and have really enjoyed it. Mine gives me the 5 day forecast, checks my stocks and email, displays my friend's Twitter posts, lets me see my personal weather station's stats, and displays tons of great news and tech...

Glanceable internet

Needs wifi and power plug to play

So I have my vacation pictures loaded in and - Oh, that's right, I can't pass it around friends on my deck cause it needs to be plugged in. I have music on it and - Oh, that's right, I can't use it on the bus ride home cause It doesn't have batteries....

shows pictures, plays music, games, stuff

tied to a wall wart

I don't really need a $179.00 alarm clock and I don't think I want to be seen with a gizmo that ugly even if it had features that I'd use regularly. The black one looks better and I assume the manufacturer will somehow streamline it inside AND out....

kiddie appeal

looks could improve

I cannot be the only one who is NOT enamored by "small gadgets" when being small means a "small screen."

none that I can see

small screen defeats the purpose
