A likeable, solid option for home cinema novices and enthusiasts alike

Easy to use ; intuitive menus and remote ; exciting, engaging listen ; hefty, powerful bass

Not the final word in all-round finesse ; pricey compared with rival machines

Denon has struggled to compete in this class for a couple of years, but the AVR-2311 is definitely a move in the right direction. It gives a great user experience and sounds good to boot.
