Denon AVR-2312

Denon has traditionally been a bit on the expensive side, but this reasonably priced receiver is a bargain, with ridiculously strong performance for the dollars.

Excellent audio performance ; Excellent video performance ; Good network/USB support (including FLAC) ; Menu overlays video

Defaults to "Dynamic EQ", with no notice to this effect ; No analog audio pre-outs mean no upgradability ; Inability to conveniently switch between different speaker arrangements

But who cares about pictures? Few offer this at all. Denon has traditionally been a bit on the expensive side, but it seems the local distributor has been making aggressive use of the present strong Australian dollar. So this reasonably priced receiver...

Its just so good

Bought this to replace a £200 Onkyo unit which was less than two years old and just awful. I paid £800 from another high street retailer, but I've had it for 6 weeks now and,as the title suggests, its brilliant. Goes to show that if you going to do...
