Griffin iTrip Auto SmartScan

This device is quite steeply priced, but the quality is undeniable

SmartScan function ; Easy to use ; Great signal strength

A bright and friendly white-on-black LED display is on hand to help, and a very simple menu system controlled by three buttons is headache-free to operate

Griffin iTrip FM transmitter review

The iTrip is now legal, but is the original iTrip worth the cash? We took the iTrip on the road to find out. The iTrip bolts on to the 4th and 5th generation via the docking station connector at the bottom of the unit and comes in both white and black....

If you're fussed about battery life, then this isn't the one to go for, however if you don't want to cover your car or house in more wires then this is the best option to go for

Griffin iTrip Auto SmartScan

The Griffin iTrip Auto SmartScan is an FM transmitter for Apple iPods with automatic scanning, three presets and mono OLED display. It charges the iPod while it plays, too. The good While the urge to drown out the drivel spewing from Chris Moyles is...

The iTrip Auto SmartScan won’t stop you having to retune on longer journeys, but it does make it easier to avoid hissy interference – and the price is definitely right. Griffin iTrip Auto SmartScan is tagged with Griffin iTrip Auto SmartScan, Griffin...

It's O.K. but I would consider a different type ne

The iTrips looks cool and is small and compact. However, it's hard to change the frequency on and has just OK sound quality. Overall, I think next time I'll get one of the power cords with a built in FM modulator.

Works very well

This is my second FM Transmitter and I love it. My first one was a bulky cradle that required a cigarette lighter for power. I take this one everywhere - It is so convenient.Make sure you read the included instructions on exactly how to set/change the...

Transmitter for Ipod

I've never beent this happy about anything since I got my Ipod first 20GB Ipod and then ordered a second one as a gift a few weeks later. This transmitter works great! In the house, the garage, the shop and my cars. It takes a small amount of battery...

On the "Nifty Scale": 5 stars

A bit pricey versus the alternatives and it is somewhat un-intuitive how to use it. To change the FM frequency you have to "import" a "play list" of FM frequencies from the included CDROM and then "play" the frequency as if it was a song track on your...

Not for Long Range

Works great when you're within a few feet of the radio antenna. My antenna is at the rear of the car, and my iPod has to be in the back seat for the broadcast to be static-free. It's great for using with hotel clock-radios, though. Just don't expect to...

Cool Device

I picked this iPod FM transmitter out of the many available options because of its small size and the fact that it doesn't need an external power supply (battery or cigarette lighter). I'm very pleased with it. It works great - especially since it fits...

Back for seconds!

I'm back for a second after my dog ate the first one!Two problems:1. Can be tough to find "free" stations, especially near large cities.2. There is no way to know what station the iTrip is currently programmed to play on. e.g. If I'm driving along,...

Product Specifications

You are looking at the coolest iPod accessory in the world. The iTrip FM transmitter for the iPod can play your music through any FM radio in your car, at a party, or wherever the mood strikes you - and you have a radio. It's clear that the iTrip is made specifically for the iPod. This gives iTrip advantages over similar devices. For example, with the iTrip, you can have the cleanest possible signal - because you can choose any radio station on the dial to tune for the best performance possible. You do this by 'playing' special station codes directly from the iPod itself. Another advantage of the iTrip is that it needs no batteries - it receives its tiny amount of power from the iPod. The Original iTrip can even rotate out of the way to charge the iPod while still in use. No more batteries ever again. There's not even a power switch - just plug it in and go. It shuts off automatically after 60 seconds of silence - just like the iPod. The iTrip is the ultimate accessory for the iPod because it allows you to share the music and share the fun beyond your headphones.
