HK1710 = Sonic Bliss

I had put off getting a new AVR, as my older Yamaha RXV361 was sounding good using coaxial and optical but no HDMI! I was looking at a few newer Yamaha models, and decided to go to Fry's to listen to all of them. The newer Yamaha models sound just like...

Good receiver with great features

The receiver took a long time to figure out how to work all the features. Once I figured it out it works good. My biggest gripe is that there is no dedicated bluetooth button on the remote. You have to go through the on screen display which is fine if...

Decent system

Fairly easy to set up and sounds great. We bought this because of its network connectivity so we could use a tablet to control it. However, this has not worked and we have troubleshooter multiple things.This product has... Interfaces well with TVAbout...

Great sound, worst app ever

The receiver purchased for the sound quality alone is worth the money. If you are purchasing this for the app and multi zone capability. Don't do it. The app loses connectivity too easily. The manuals available weren't helpful and their tech support...

Below the average for that price range

After reading reviews and announcements for months, I got the Harman Kardon 1710 and the Sony STR-DN1040 7.2 Channel 1155-Watt A/V Receiver - I liked both so I decided to buy them, test them for few days and then return one. I have to say the Sony is a...
