Marantz NR1403

AV receivers can be intimidating , with their giant metal chassis and overwhelming back panels. The Marantz NR1403 ($400) seems like a reaction to that, with a slimline design and sparse back panel that's decidedly different than your typical...

The Marantz NR1403's is significantly thinner than most AV receivers. It packs in six HDMI inputs, which is the most you'll find at this price level. And despite the compact design, its sound quality is comparable to the best we've heard this year.

There's no built-in Wi-Fi or Ethernet, so features like smartphone control and integrated streaming are missing. There's also no built-in Bluetooth, so you'll need a separate device for wireless audio streaming.

The Marantz NR1403 is a slim, handsome AV receiver with excellent sound and plenty of HDMI connectivity, although it lacks built-in networking.

Marantz NR1403 & NR1603 Slimline A/V Recievers Preview

Great Little 5.1 AV Amp

I purchased one to use in a unit of about 50 sq metres, as I did not require a lot of power in a room about 3m by 4m. It is a slim design which is ideal for most Audio Visual units as it does not overheat due to the greater amount of room around it. It...

Perfect Companion for LG 3D TV/Blu-Ray

We recently replaced our old home theatre system (we replaced an NEC 50 inch plasma and Onkyo 7.1 Receiver) with an LG55LM7600 LED and LG BP620 Blu-Ray player. We looked at many receivers to replace the Onkyo, including another Onkyo, but settled on...
