Marantz NR1403

AV receivers can be intimidating , with their giant metal chassis and overwhelming back panels. The Marantz NR1403 ($400) seems like a reaction to that, with a slimline design and sparse back panel that's decidedly different than your typical...

The Marantz NR1403's is significantly thinner than most AV receivers. It packs in six HDMI inputs, which is the most you'll find at this price level. And despite the compact design, its sound quality is comparable to the best we've heard this year.

There's no built-in Wi-Fi or Ethernet, so features like smartphone control and integrated streaming are missing. There's also no built-in Bluetooth, so you'll need a separate device for wireless audio streaming.

The Marantz NR1403 is a slim, handsome AV receiver with excellent sound and plenty of HDMI connectivity, although it lacks built-in networking.

Marantz NR1403 & NR1603 Slimline A/V Recievers Preview

The Marantz NR1403 features discrete amplification, tons of HDMI inputs, and Audyssey MultEQ. The NR1603 adds video upconversion, two channels of amplification, a second zone, Apple AirPlay and more.

The Marantz NR1403 is a bare bones receiver with some of the best bones we've ever seen. With discrete amplification, tons of HDMI inputs, and Audyssey MultEQ, it is a new buyer's dream at $400. But if you want more, Marantz has it with the NR1603....

Dont pss up this avr because of power

So here's the deal. No steaming audio. If you want that then by another avr but if you don't care about streaming audio then this avr is amazing. A lot people will overlook this unit due to its lower RMS rating of 50 watts. Here's the truth. This is 50...

This is a very nice unit, especially for those with multiple hdmi peripherals. On screen set up is a breeze. Unit automatically detects and plays incoming digital streams. Sound quality is a big step up from the 10year old unit this replaces. I did try...

Awesome & Compact

I bought this receiver to replace my 8 yr old Onkyo TX SR805 THX receiver. It was on verge of extinction, it wouldn't no longer recognize input signals until 5 mins later, surround settings were eardrum piercing distortions and so on. I didn't want to...
