Gadgetell Review (follow up): Netgear Push2TV adapter for use with Intel Wireless Display

It is pretty rare that we review the same item twice, but that seems to be the case with the Negear Push2TV adapter. For those who missed the first review, you can read that by clicking here. And just to stay in full disclosure mode, this notebook and...

Gadgetell Review: Netgear Push2TV adapter for use with Intel Wireless Display compatible laptops

What is being reviewed? Up for review today is the Netgear Push2TV adapter which works with the Wireless Display Technology from Intel. And as a I mentioned in the two related gallery (Toshiba Satellite E205 & Netgear Push2TV) posts, these items were...

In the lead up to the review I will admit I had some reservations about how well this would work. Needless to say I have been impressed. Actually it has worked better than I expected, but, that is not to say it is perfect. Some of the issues include a...

Gadgetell Hands On: Netgear Push2TV adapter for Intel Wireless Display technology

Coming back with another Gadgetell hands on gallery, this latest is the Netgear Push2TV for Intel Wireless Display technology. And similar to the Toshiba Satellite E205 in the previous post—this was provided to us by Intel for testing. That said, just...

Netgear Push2TV Wireless Display Adaptor

One of the most talked-about introductions at this year's Consumer Electronics Show was Intel's WiDi (or Wireless Display) technology. In case you missed the company's demonstrations, WiDi promises to let you transmit whatever is on your...

WiDi is exposed through the latest generation of Intel 802.11n Centrino-branded wireless adapters (the Ultimate-N 6300, Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250, and Advanced-N 6200), which include a new feature called My WiFi. In much the same way as Bluetooth...

Netgear Push 2 TV review

The advent of catch-up TV, means we watch a big proportion of our TV via a web browser. Although it's just about acceptable to stick a laptop on your coffee table and watch programmes on iPlayer and other on-demand services, it leaves a lot to be...

Fiddly to set up, and you can't use your laptop for other tasks while streaming video. Image quality isn't great either.

Like the product!

I have been using it since Black Friday 2010. It came with my Sony Vaio as a bundle for an extra $20. I think it is worth the $20. It does it's job but can be better in performance. PTV1000 is the initial model that came out so the newer versions might...

Works well and does it's job. I watch movies, programs on a regular basis (atleast once or twice a week)

Connection gets disconnected occasionally and it can be annoying

Surprised to see so many bad reviews

I was very hesitant to see so many negative reviews on cnet. However, I got a great deal on Amazon ($65 including shipping). I am so glad that I did. Set up is a breeze and as of now (after 1 month of watching it for 1-2 hours a day), I had yet to...

Don't update the firmware to the newest version. Brick

The device works great if you don't update the firmware. Intel always update their software, a plus. Customer support suck if you're out of warranty. They want you to buy extended warranty. Belongs in the landfill now. Waiting for PTV2000

Smooth Video playback

2 to 3 second delay from laptop to television screen
