Pioneer A-307R

This was a replacement for my 30 year old NEC amp which finally gave up the ghost so it had to be good. Overall it is a simple amp. No flashing lights.

First of all don't buy this one. Type Pioneer A-307R into the Amazon search and you'll find the same thing £10 cheaper from Spatialdirect but no reviews.

This is a great amp, soundwise I've had no problems, it deals with all types of music from classical to punk and the whole spectrum of electronic music very well, it looks nice too and is heavy with a solid feel to it. One problem is the binding posts...

I wanted all the usual outputs including phono, tape, computer, tuner, CD and connections for two pairs of speakers and this does the business. Very happy with the quality and volume of sound with minimal background noise in my medium sized rooms. Easy...

please note that i bought this amp second hand from a cash converter type shop and not new from amazon.

a307 first weeks ownership

Was looking for an integrated amplifier with a phono stage(so rare these days). Has all the inputs you could want. Sounds excellent with a wide range of music. Very well built with an aluminium fascia, sturdy controls.
