Average Sound System

This system definitely needs a subwoofer. It was also a little cumbersome hooking it up. But I knew this wasn't the top of the line, so my expectation wasn't high. But overall it satified my needs. This product has... Good multi-zone capabilityAbout...

Nothing like I expected

I had an old-school Onkyo system that I absolutely love, but I decided I wanted full Dolby Surround sound from my Roku player - the only way to do that was to get a newer receiver with HDMI in/out. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, and this unit...

Sounds good. Pretty lights

Too complicated to set up

Not a true 140w receiver.

This is actually a 80w receiver at 8ohm. If you use nice speakers that are powered at 8ohm impedance than don't expect 140w. The reason for this is the receiver is really a 6ohm unit. Once you come to grips with that this is a dandy of a little...

Manual is worthless

My 15 year-old receiver started having problems, so I thought I'd buy a new one. Changes in technology and configuring would be inevitable, but a pitiful tiny booklet on how to control the beast isn't what one would call a GOOD change. The old receiver...

Not an owner, because...

At a time I was seriously considering a Pioneer receiver. Whether it's a Newegg thing or a Pioneer thing, since they went to this "you can't know the price until you checkout" garbage, I will not buy. Tell me how much it is, period. If I have to make...

Kind of 50/50 on this

Supposedly" the remote should work with our DVD and CD players (as in use the remote that came with the receiver). Not. Can use the remote to switch to DVD & then volume but have to use DVD remote. Can only control trusty Kenwood CD changer manually....

Works fine with TV & DVD player (with their remotes)

Truly horrible instructions, no OSD, can't use all remote features

Meh

It's not bad for the price. My advice: spend the extra 100 or 200 on the next model up.

Good purchase

I had to call Geek Squad back in adjust one of the settings so this receiver would work with my sub. Not sure exactly which setting it was, but no problems now (and GS was here the next day). Got 20 years out of my last Pioneer receiver, so high hopes...

Ipod/Ipad connection, display is easy to read

Not Good

I have the 1022 unit for my Home theater set up in my living room and have not had any issues with that unit for a couple years. Wanted this set-up to use on my gaming computer. I ended up with a YAMAHA instead. Doesn't look as pretty but does the job.

Looks nice

First one I received did not hav output to surround speakers. RMA'ed. Second one still no output to surrounds and then ubrutly died alltogether. RMA'ed for refund. Newegg did me good on RMA process and paid for return shipping on both units
