Pioneer VSX-920-K Receiver Preview

The Pioneer VSX-920-K introduces two additional channels of amplification over the two lower models, PQLS for enhanced two-channel audio, and Anchor Bay powered 1080p upconversion all for $399.

The VSX-920-K shares a lot of the features with the two lower priced receivers. Why shouldn't it? They offer a great foundation. With four 3-D ready HDMI 1.4 inputs, 110 watts per channel, and iPhone Certification, there is lot to like. The VSX-920-K...

The Pioneer VSX-920 receiver is perhaps the most feature-rich control hub in its class, with remote iPhone volume control and on-screen cover art.

The VSX-920 and VSX-1020 will be available in July for AU$1099 and AU$1299 respectively. If your budget doesn't stretch this far then Pioneer also makes the VSX-520 (AU$499) and VSX-820 (AU$699), but without some of the A/V features like app control....

Pioneer VSX-920 AV Receiver

A new level of connectivity for this price point.

Pioneer seems to have aimed this receiver at providing as many of the latest facilities as it could manage, and accompanying them with mid-level home cinema performance. The main problem with the latter is that, like the Denon but unlike the Yamaha, it...

Using Pioneer VSX 920K with BOSE AM5 speaker system. Noticed poor bass output. I purchased JAMO sub 250 ACTIVE subwoofer and noticed much improved bass and depth when listening to music. I am using it for only listening to music.

Sound quality, value for money (purchased in Belgium)

Requires ACTIVE subwoofer. Poor performance with passive sub woofer

@ Ray, I don't agree with you, I have bought the 920 and think its great, I have to turn my base down and its only running on about 40%. I would say something is not right in your setup or invest in a decent subi! As for working out the controls etc......

Great, Easy to use, Ipod Control and Iphone excellent

I have just upgraded from my Pioneer VSX-D510 to the VSX-920-K, BIG mistake!I am running the VSX-920 exactly the same way as my older D510 through a Bose Acoustimass 7 set up with a passive sub woofer. The set up was quite simple, the speaker wiring was...
