Roku LT 2012

The Roku LT ($50) may be more than a year old, but it remains one of the home theater products we'd most recommend.

The Roku LT is a small streaming-media box that costs only $50. It offers hundreds of streaming-video and -audio services, including Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, HBO Go, Vudu, Spotify, Pandora, Mog, Rdio, and MLB.TV. Roku also offers...

For those invested in the Apple ecosystem, the Roku LT doesn't offer the same tight integration as the Apple TV's AirPlay functionality. The Roku LT also lacks a YouTube channel. And there's no Ethernet port, so you'll need a solid Wi-Fi signal in your...

The Roku LT is a killer streaming-media box, offering tons of streaming content -- including favorites like Netflix, Amazon Instant, Hulu Plus, and Pandora -- for just $50.

Roku LT Review

ForewordWhen it comes to streaming media online there is no shortage of products available however when it comes to quality products at affordable prices, the market suddenly gets ...

Size ; Weight ; Design ; Speed

No advanced network settings ; Does not come with HDMI cable ; Channel Sign Ups

Let’s start out with getting the negatives out of the way then such as mot having advanced networking settings. This was a major let down for me in truth, I have a Sky Broadband service and they don’t (stupidly) allow you to change the DNS settings....

Roku LT - Pocket-lint

We liked the Roku 2 XS, but we didn't absolutely love it. Things have moved on a bit though, and the company offered us the chance to look at its LT model.

Netflix looks stunning, enough video content to keep most people happy, iPlayer, Plex support is brilliant

Only 720p

Why wouldn't you buy the Roku LT? Well, you wouldn't if you don't have internet access and you probably wouldn't bother if you didn't have a TV. But everyone else should at least give it a healthy dose of consideration.

Roku LT review

A teeny tiny media streamer

Extremely small ; Low power consumption ; Can handle 720p high definition ; Simple to use

No HDMI cable included ; Limited channels at the moment

The Roku LT is a nicely designed product, but a bit too simple.

Roku LT review

If you have an old TV that you wish had access to catch-up and on-demand streaming service then the Roku LT could be the gadget for you. Priced at an affordable £50, the Roku LT comes in a purple and black design and is so small you can fit it into...

The Roku LT is a great little addition to a non-smart TV. The tiny and affordable box has a wealth of content, although a couple of big names are missing. A lack of full HD is the main omission, so those wanting this feature will have to opt for the...

Roku LT review

Last year US firm Roku brought out the Roku 2 XS, adeceptively powerful little box of digital telly tricks allowingyou to watch a broad range of catch-up TV and streaming video forjust under £100. Now it's done it again for half the price.

Easy to set up, good range of internet streaming channels

Lacking some key channels, no wired Ethernet connection

Like its big brother, the Roku LT is a terrific littlemedia streaming box that does everything it should do simply andwithout fuss. You lose out on full HD (but get 720p) and wiredEthernet connection but short of a few big-name channels, it willget you...

"Not a good device at all, rating is less than 1"

Easy to handle, ofcourse all other similar devices are easy to handle. Netflix was ok. I disconnected and added, and it is not working. I was told to buy again, as it was out of 90 day warranty. When you buy online they will never tell you upfront, you...

Easy to handle, ofcourse all other similar devices are easy to handle. Enjoyed free poker game app. Enjoyed streaming of dishworld tv, as it has got very good bufferring.

90 day warranty only, poor streaming performance on below 3 MBPS speed. waste of time requesting support for streaming issues on netflix, willowtv and yupptv re: 2 XS. HDMI needs very higher speeds. After 90 day warranty, you need to buy extended war

"Makes ANY TV a Smart TV"

One of the best "investments" I've ever made! Pull our your old "rabbit ears" antenna for free local channels and ditch cable. Roku is all you'll need. Have home movies, TV shows and music saved on your computer? Download the PLEX media server to your...

$50.00!!

Works best with high speed broadband. Lower quality picture with lower speed internet. No NFL or YouTube

"A-1 all the way"

I've tried various streaming devices and also Windows Media Center on a VERY fast PC with high end dual video cards. None of them worked even CLOSE to as well as the Roku. DSL here is limited to 1.5 MBPS and all the other devices had stalling problems....

Streams more smoothly than any device I've tried.

Would be nice to have an ethernet (wired) port on the LT but the wireless N works well.

"This is the BEST device for the money you spend!"

This is the best gizmo for the buck. Highly recommended! MLB @ Bat: I get all MLB games via this little device and love it. The most inexpensive device of this kind I know. Easy to install and run with. TWO thumbs up!
