Sonos Connect:Amp

While the Nexus Q will remain a curio until Google can boost its feature set , the competitive Sonos Connect:Amp feels like a real hi-fi system. From its solid build to the simplicity of the user interface it's something that the Nexus isn't: refined....

The Sonos Connect:Amp is an excellent all-in-one digital music system that offers superb sound quality. It gives you access to nearly any cloud music service (Pandora, Spotify, Amazon, Rhapsody, and so forth) using any iOS device or Android smartphone...

You'll need to have separate speakers and a tablet or smartphone. The Sonos Connect:Amp doesn't support iTunes Match. While it can wirelessly interact with other Sonos products, you'll need a hard-wired connection or the $49 wireless Sonos Bridge...

The Sonos Connect:Amp is an excellent streaming-audio solution for sound-quality sticklers who prefer to supply their own speakers.

Sonos Connect:Amp

The Sonos Connect:Amp isn't cheap, but it's a no-compromise all-in-one digital music system that's perfect for people who are serious about digital music — and about cloud-based music services in particular.

Superb sound quality ; Access to cloud music services ; Uses any iOS device or Android smartphone as a remote ; Has a line-in, for connecting a TV or DVD player

Need to have separate speakers and a tablet or smartphone ; Doesn't support iTunes Match ; Need a hard-wired connection or the $49 wireless Sonos Bridge accessory to connect to other Sonos products

You get what you pay for.

The Connect Amp is a quick and easy way to convert an existing stereo system to the Sonos system. The amp is a bit pricy, but I think you get what you pay for in this case.

Great for built in ceiling speakers

I have been a big user of Sonos for years. We sold our old system when we moved. Now we need new equipment for our new house. I'm planning to buy a few more once we get the wiring installed.

Sonos Connect:Amp

I wired up my home 10 years ago and never finished the job. I had speakers, cat 5e, coaxial cable all installed and had it terminate into what would eventually be my a/v rack. Between all the decisions, a few kids, and the craziness of life, I've...

This first the start of my Sonos system along with the Bridge. It is small and looks unobtrusive when in a visible place and easy to hide if you want to. Quality buil and looks and feels like something that Apple would have designed. Has wireless build...
