Unison Research Unico Primo review

For an impressive performance, look no further than the Unico Primo integrated amp

An exceptionally well-sorted amplifier that gets the basic sound parameters just right, without straying off into valve-like excess

It has no obvious weaknesses, though you do have to pay a little extra for the phono input. The remote control isn't great, however, and there's no balance adjustment

This is an amp that lives up to its billing and works brilliantly with the Unico CDE. Build quality, externally and internally – including the smooth-running controls (all two of them) and the twin sets of loudspeaker terminals – is excellent

Unison Research Unico P review

A non-valve Unison amp that still manages to please

Balanced and well detailed sound

Depth performance can be vague

Although on paper this amp's performance may not look outstanding, the ears say otherwise. It's a delight to listen to

Unico P

You may not find it easy to get excited about yet another sub-100W integrated amplifier - they're hardly a dying breed. If you've got this far, however, rest assured it's worth reading on, for Unison Research's Unico P is not your common-or-garden...

If you're considering a new integrated amp, I heartily recommend you have a listen the Unico P. Not the perfect amplifier, but the blend of virtues on offer here makes this a serious contender for best buy of the year. Quite a prediction given it's...

Unison Research Unico Primo Integrated Amplifier Review and Test

The Unico Primo is an excellent amplifier that will tick all the boxes on any audiophile's checklist, thanks to its high power output, low noise and distortion and, of course, most importantly, its first-rate sound quality
