Most surveillance systems have the ability to record audio, but the cameras don't include microphones. So this is a very inexpensive addition that I highly recommend. The mic is easy to install and very sensitive. A MUST for your front door camera.

Works but not real well. I am getting a lot of background noise even with the gain turned all the way down. Voices are barely understandable and occasionally not. Might have to do some more checking around before getting any more mics.

I can not get anything from this microphone, unless spoken loudly 2 inchs from the mic, survalence audio is not even a option.

Having a degree in electrical engineering, I'm somewhat certain of my opinoin that this thing doesn't work. To be "detailed and specific", It doesn't work no how, no way. I bought 2, and tried them on two systems with 2 different configurations.
