Great Product, Not Perfect

Maybe adding a keyboard would make setup/information input easier, haven't tried-not WD's fault.

Great price for product. Crisp 1080p. Has connections for AVI, HDMI, and 2 USB ports for media/wireless adapters. Easy to setup. Small and blends well with other electronics. Comes with remote control

Takes a while to boot up, odd for device with no HDD. Menus lag and remote makes it worse. Also, this sucker gets HOT-recommend placing flat, not upright (vent slots are on both sides. DON'T cover up.) Apps lag, but that can be fixed with firmware/updates

Another one bite the dust

I unplugged my old WD from the AV OUT, USB and POWER and plugged in the new one and an awful sound and scrambled screen is what I see and heard. I plugged back my old WD who use to work fine and now I cannot make it work also. I think that the new one...

My old one has been working properly. I have the old one connected to my big TV to watch my .avi movies. Thought that I needed another one for the Kitchen TV and I bought this one ............. piece of trash the first day

I have tried several formats in my old WD TV Live Plus and I haven't had any problem. This is why I decided to buy another one

Media Player WDBABX0000NBK

I have a Prodigi player which I think it's the best so far but I came across some PAL format it does not play. So there's no ONE perfect box out there in the market.

Plays all media format available on the NET

HDMI does not output true Audio quality sound. You have to rely on the Optical port. I have a pioneer receiver that can't change re-direct the optical to different channel. It becomes useless ; Does not play blu-ray format

A must have for every home

Plays every file format I have. I run a Windows Home Server and it streams (almost) everything excellently. Even plays my NetFlix in HD. This was my second one, and not a problem one. My wife loves the fact that it is easy to work and we can watch...

My living room WDTV Live+ sometimes stutters on 1080P files, but I don't know if that's because I run that one through an Ethernet-over-Powerline device or because the WDTV Live+ only uses a 10/100 network adapter. I kinda wish it included a giga-bit...

Love these completely

I have four of these now, all wired via gigabit. Love them. 1080i streaming everywhere with plenty of overhead left for other things.

I had 2 Linksys Media Center Extenders (DMA2100) for around three years and always struggled to view things like mkv and listen to things like flac files. This inexpensive and very flexible box enabled all that. Full HD out, very responsive, great...

It doesn't interface directly with Windows Media Center (for setting up recordings, etc) and it won't play the Windows 7 recorded files, but they're easy to convert. Nitpicking, really. If you don't use Media Center, no complaints at all
