Had this cranked LOUD for 4 hours during a college house party playing music videos. No problems. Everyone thought they were seriously at the club! I would highly recommend this AV Receiver for a long-term solution to any mid to high end Home Theater...

Has enough power to crank all 7 of me floor standing speakers. Everything about it exudes quality. Solid build and parts. Even the remote weighs a ton! Pandora radio is sweet (after easy firmware update) and easy to add and remove stations. Music...

No iTunes Air Play. Since Pandora is added via update there is no direct button on the remote so you must scroll the the menu every time to select it. Remote is great for setup but I wouldn't recommend as a universal for your whole setup. Use a Harmony...

Complex but...WOW!!!

Best receiver I have EVER owned! My sound spectrum widened 3 fold! My Klipsch Synergy speakers never sounded better! Sound is pure and crystal clear! Cranked it up and haven't noticed ANY distortion! 2 HDMI outputs! Inputs out the wazoo! HDradio is...

Setup is easy, but you will have to dig around to find specific settings to tweak. AVSForum helped a lot! It will take you a long time to really get to KNOW this receiver, but initial setup is pretty straight forward. Fine tuning the settings takes a...

Amazing

I upgraded from an Onkyo TX-606 and this blows it away. I would highly recommend this.

The sound quality is unparalleled with enough power to squeeze every detail out of nearly any speaker setup. The OSD and easy setup make it try easy to set up. It has a very simple interface, I only use the small remote 99% of the time

It's not cheap, but it's worth it

Superior Clarity of Sound

Obviously I have not had time to totally learn all the details of this receiver... the video and multi-zone features look good, but I have no need yet. And you really need to read the owner's manual several times...really...there is that much...185...

Simply the clearest, most detailed sound I have ever enjoyed from a receiver! Extremely low distortion at high volume levels. Great bass & treble. Vocals are beautiful. Cymbals & percussion are fantastic ; I have sampled many of the CDs & DVDs in my...

Only the FM reception was a problem and the USB firmware updates solved that ; problem. I installed both version 3.16 and 3.20 ; Are you reading this Tom B

Glad I bought it

I was looking for something at a lower price point, but saw this receiver at a great black Friday price so I went for it. And I'm glad I did. I saw some of the other reviews about difficulty in updating the firmware and configuring the unit and was a...

Great sound using YPAO automatic calibration. Configures to fit almost any situation. Plenty of power for large rooms. Web and Ipad control for remote zones

None so far

Much Better Than Expected

Firmware update's a breeze - if you think it's complicated Hire Someone, from what I read I don't think it can be bricked but it's best to play safe. GUI is really nice and easy to use - If you need the manual to figure out how to set up your zones...

Independant Zone Volumes which is the main reason I upgraded. HDMI Ins and Outs - secondary reason for upgrade. The price I paid was less than what I paid for my RX-V997. I didn't think I'd use 4 zones... but I will now that I know how slick it is....

I wish that the web interface controlled EVERYTHING, but considering most households have kids that tinker around with everything, I understand why it's not there. Maybe it is there if I put in a different port, I'll crack the CD and check

Amazing

Overall, this is the best receiver I have had. Only one ding for the lack of FM reception. The features are great, and having so many choices for network based music almost make it up for it. Aside from the REALLY TERRIBLE FM reception, I would...

Features galore! Connects to the Internet for firmware updates, and many selections of Internet radio. Also connects to my Win7 machine to play from my library or playlists over the network. Fantastic picture quality. I can't tell the difference when...

FM reception DOES NOT WORK!!! While this is one of the few receivers that I found with built-in FM-HD, the reception is the worst! I have a $15 boom box that gets better reception than this! Even with an amplified antenna, the reception is still almost...

Awesome Sound Quality!

for the price this receiver is the best. you'd be hard pressed to find anything remotely close without spending a few thousand dollars more. The sound quality is near flawless at normal to high listening levels..

powerful, excellent sound quality, ability to tweak sound settings, excessive inputs.. optional I-pod dock

setup and configuring is complicated and time consuming. challenging to find tech support

Still Checking ....

I run a 7.1 system with Energy Connoiseur series as the main 5.1 and have Sony F6000 as surrounds. The Main volume has to be way high to get a good output. Anyone facing this? My Pioneer VSX-921 was just half the full volume when the room was shaking....

Sounds seems clean (upgrading from a Pioneer VSX-k-921). Lots of HDMI (I dont need those). YPAO

Not sure yet... still analysing
