Yamaha RX-V2095 Receiver

Introduction In a nutshell, Yamaha has created the RX-V2095; a seven channel - two rack unit sleek black box - drenched with so many features that it once would have taken a stack of processing gear to duplicate its performance. Priced modestly at...

Yamaha RX-V2095 A/V Receivers

Purchased the RX-V2095 4 1/2 years ago as my first home theater system. I purchased Yamaha A/V after having a great experience with an M-70/C-70/T-70, amp/pre-amp/tuner, 2 channel audio system I purchase in 1982 - still use this system to this day!

Yamaha RX-V2095 A/V Receivers

I know that there are newer models that has come out already but I really like the A1 when it came out but it was not within my budget so I settled for the RX-V2095. I previously used a Yamaha RX-v596 which I truly like but retired to the bedroom.

Yamaha RX-V2095 A/V Receivers

Overall this is an excellent reciever. It has very good detail, excellent bass and well built. I compare it to both the newer verse Yamaha recievers the RXV1 and RXZ1. The 2095 match both in stereo, dolby digital 5.1 and dts 5.1. However, newer...

Yamaha RX-V2095 A/V Receivers

I just finished to adjusted my new baby, a Yamaha RX-V1300 and the sound is very impressive, more than expected. I use to have a Onkyo model TX-DS484 (5 x 55w) bought in sept.2001 change it because it was not enough powerful for my Polk's.

Product Specifications

The RX-V2095 is a 7-channel receiver providing the finest performance and processing available for music and video sound. The 7 channels are: Left/Right Main, Center, Left/Right Rear Effects, and Left/Right Front Effects. The addition of front effects speakers adds depth to the image. Yamaha's Digital Sound Field Processing, Cinema DSP, and Tri-Field Processing are all included as are Dolby Surround Pro Logic and Dolby Digital processing. Discrete power transistors rather than IC chips are used in the amplifier section to provide the cleanest sound possible. The amp delivers 100 watts each to the five channels. Discrete surround is the most advanced and realistic encoded surround sound for movies. The new Dolby Digital system is a fully discrete system providing 5.1 channels of sound. Like Dolby Digital, DTS is a discrete 5.1 channel system. It uses a higher bit-rate for greater resolution and is available on DVDs, laser discs, and music CDs. Yamaha has designed and employed single function IC chips, called ASICs - Application Specific Integrated Circuits - for the RX-V2095. ASICs are more efficient than multi-function chips and provide the most accurate decoding possible. Yamaha's exclusive Tri-Field Processing that applies Digital Sound Field Processing technology to Dolby Digital and DTS to create a true movie theater experience in the home. It develops independent enhanced sound fields for the front signals as well as for left and right surround. Yamaha's exclusive Digital Sound Field Processing for music recreates the acoustic personalities of actual concert halls and other venues. 35mm and 70mm Cinema DSP multiplies the effects of Dolby Pro Logic and Yamaha DSP to provide the best possible Pro Logic movie theater recreation in your home. The RX-V2095's rear pane has input jacks to accommodate an external 6-channel decoder. So the receiver is ready for any other 5.1 channel format, should one be developed. When different input formats are connected from the same source, the RX-V2095 automatically prioritizes them and selects in order, optical digital, coaxial digital, and finally the analog input. The RX-V2095 senses a DTS or Dolby Digital signal and will automatically switch the receiver to the appropriate mode when the signal is detected. The selected mode is displayed on front panel. Yamaha's famed low impedance drive circuitry is included in this receiver so that it can handle virtually all loads and a wide variety of speakers. A/B Speaker Selector allows selection of either a first set of speakers or a second - or both. This tuner has up to 40 preset AM and FM stations that can be grouped in five groups eight stations. These groupings make it easy for family members to easily access their favorite stations or to have musical genres, such as all the jazz stations, grouped together.
