The Yamaha RX-V371 offers some excellent features for an entry-level A/V receiver. To keep the cost down, however, there are significant compromises, such as the lack of an onscreen display and auto calibration for an easier and faster setup. Also,...

Top features, sound, ports + decoders at bargain price!

I've had both an RX-V 396 RDS and more recently an RX-V 620 RDS, which this amp is replacing, and the sound is BETTER than the 620 rds, which was a what hi-fi award winner for over 3 years, it was so good, and this new one decodes FULL ... Expand full...

1: sound ; 2: looks ; 3: build ; 4: features ; 5: ease of set-up and use ; 6: PRICE ; 7: simplicity (K.I.S.S., less is more) ; 8: Name (Yamaha amps have a VERY long and proven track record and pedigree) ; 9: FULL HD decoding

1: Spring clips on surround and centre channel (but that's only A: to be expected under £500, And B: a very minor quible)

For $127 this thing packs a punch.

Get some good speakers, I got the Pinnacle MB8000 (Subcompact 8 sub) whole thing is about $900 and this thing yamaha makes those speakers do wonders!

I've only had this for a few days and let me tell this is thing is loader with many feature but if you are familiar with A/V receiver then you would that the best setting is "straight" with not no audio processing after the DTS/DD is decoded ; Also...

Music didn't sound very tight, I think I just have to make more adjustments to bass and front channels for music but otherwise if you are willing to put it the time to make sure everything is set correctly it will sound amazing. I only use it for...

great receiver

powers my polk monitor 50's awesomely :) enough to keep up with a 300w subwoofer soon to also be powering some polk r150's for the rear channel

great EQ settings ; plenty of power ; great price ; 5.1

sometimes takes it a while to switch the video input

Defective

Even at a ridiculously low price you'd think refurbished still meant 'worked.'

Great inputs and outputs

Only one speaker out worked, the rest did not

It's Yamaha

I'd buy a bunch of these and stockpile/flip them if I could afford it!

For this price the features are unmatched. I will use it to replace a 17 year old Yamaha that still works well but doesn't have HDMI of course. I have only done a quick check on this refurbished unit but all looks well

None yet. Worried about others' warranty experience... hope I don't have to use it and they would warranty (within reason) it if needed

YAMAHA RX-V371

This is my second Yamaha receiver and I must say the experience so far has been just as good as the first one. I love Yamaha and if you want real bang for the buck I highly recommend this receiver. It doesnt have all the bells and whistles of a high...

Lots of HDMI and audio inputs , The Front panel is plenty big and bright enough to view your setup menus. I have bad eyesight and had no problem with this

No on screen setup menu ; Instuctions on CD instead of a paper manual

Nice Receiver

Received this unit with a remote missing a button, Yamaha fixed everything. Very happy with the unit & Yamaha customer support. I purchased a Bluetooth receiver to use in the 3.5 mm jack so I can stream music off my phone and tablets and it works...

4 HDMI Inputs, good power, radio works better on this than any of the other stereo's in my house

None so far, everything works as it should
