Yamaha RX-V3900 7.1 A/V Receiver

There has been a huge boom, over the last few years, in the number of devices for your A/V system that stream or play music. These devices include many things, from gaming consoles like the Xbox 360 to standalone boxes such as Yamaha's own MCX-2000. In...

Now you also see why it is so nice to have the ability to upgrade the firmware on a receiver! If I were in the market for a receiver today, and this was in my price range, the Yamaha RX-V3900 would likely be at the top of my list. It's huge range of...

Yamaha RX-Z7 7.1 Channel Networking A/V Receiver Review

Benchmark audio and video performance ; Unparalleled multi channel experience for music and movies ; One box solution for whole home audio and video distribution ; Excellent Network Streaming and Web Browsing functionality

Runs hot and needs adequate ventilation ; Complex setup ; Lame secondary remote control with limited functionality

Yamaha RX-V3900 A/V Receiver

An A/V receiver isn't just a product. It's a series of diplomatic handshakes. Sure, manufacturers develop some of the technologies that go into their products, but they also license a lot of the technologies from other outfits—which enhances their...

Yamaha RX-V3900

The Yamaha RX-V3900 is a receiver boasting a blockbuster features list, and appears to be the complete audio and visual package.

Amazing high-end receiver

I am a professional HT installer. I've installed numerous receivers from several different brands. I have never heard anything put out better audio than this. I have a Boston Acoustic 8" sub-woofer, Celestion F2 Towers and a Polk CS10 Center Channel....

Clarity of sound is unmatched ; Video processing is superb ; More than enough connection types for any installation ; Zone 2 AND Zone 3, both powered, which can't be found on many other receivers

It's Large. I had to upgrade furniture just for it to fit. This is understandable, but could be a hinderance

This Amazing device demands your attention

In a Monster Garage with shop/ office setting, there are complex issues with placement of the AV Unit to the speakers. I have no direct line of site using the remotes, so an IR repeater is needed like the 'Niles' to get full function of the remote to...

This guy powers my Monster Garage to concert status ; I'll open the front doors, crank it to '0' and share the concert with 90 acres of corn across the road ; It's powerfully clean ; Features, plenty to grow into ; Learning curve at first & tests you

I can't imagine, other than it's a tad complex ; For the 70's period guy with the Marantz, you'll need help ; Immediately join avsforum.com to get all you can from true professionals ; Keep at and it will surprise you with new gifts as you learn

Good receiver, but overall unreliable.

Wish I could give the unit a glowing review, but the reliability of this receiver was very poor. I had too many problems with it and the repair process was way to LONG. At least Yamaha stood behind the product with the warranty, but a good product is...

Sounds very good. Solid build, nice features such as net connection. Plenty of HDMI inputs. Yamaha stands behind their warranty

Unreliable, two units needing repair in less than one year. Service repair is slow
