Partially Works

Most of the navigation buttons worked, but since my main purpose for this remote is to use the DVR function of media center, not being able to pause or stop is pretty significant. I contacted Adesso and they said all buttons should work and no drivers...

Easy set-up, sleek, easy to use

DOA

You can't really complain when you only pay $18 for a MCE remote. No big deal really.

As always with NewEgg service and speed is superb. The remote seemed to be decent to good quality so I gave it 2 eggs. RMA and waiting on NewEgg to send another

IR receiver was DOA. Tried remote and receiver on 3 different computers but it wouldn't work. Programmed a Harmony for the remote and the receiver still did not respond. Called their tech support just to be sure. Minimal navigation, got someone in the US

Perfect for WMC

I bought this for the PC in our bedroom that shares the media files from our HTPC. At max it's only 8-9 feet away from the receiver and always with a clear line of sight, so I can't speak to the range.

Cheap for a Media Center remote ; Plug and Play with Windows 7 ; Works great with Media Center ; The added mouse feature is a big plus. You're not going to replace your mouse, but it keeps you from getting up for basic tasks

Does what it says

It does what the package says. The mouse is great and it works as advertised on Windows Media Center

It is not a universal remote. In other words I can change the channel of my TV with it within Windows Media Center but I can't turn my TV on to begin with. There is also no way to turn the PC back on using the remote (although that would be difficult)

Adesso ARC-1100 MCE Infrared Remote Control

If this thing had a small keyboard on the back of it, it would be perfect.

cheap and easy to use ; IR commands are picked up rather easily .. i use this for my HTPC obviously and i'm able to use it just like any other remote ... the mouse cursor controller is a nice touch, and although not perfect is completely adequate

Good poduct for the money

It works well. The buttons for changing channels are difficult to use with one hand especially if your over the air and need to hit the period button. Say you're on the couch with Lady Gaga and have only one hand. You might have to free up a hand to...
