Canon RC-6 Wireless Remote

The Canon RC-6 Wireless Remote review is a tiny infrared wireless remote controller for compatible Canon EOS DSLRs

Consumer review by:

Yup, it works

Really light product that does what it says....allows you to remotely take pictures. I got it bc I wanted the ability to start recording something while not behind the camera, and this lets me do that (although the switch must be on the 2 sec delay)....

Lightweight, can initiate movie recording

have to point at camera

Great remote!

As soon as I took it out of the box and changed the setting of my camera to remote....it worked! Easy and fast. Great price as well!

easy to use, hooks right on the camera strap

no timer

Good product but has some limitations for my needs

Good product, but it would be better if it worked behind the camera. Because you need to point it at the sensor, it's more effective for self portraits. When shooting landscapes or bracketed shots it takes a while to activate the remote.

Wish that it would work from behind the camera- need to point it at the sensor

Works great with the Canon 5D

Overall it works great, only downside is that you really have to point it at the camera's sensor which at times presents issues if you are standing to the right of the sensor as the lens blocks the sensor from that side.

It's a remote that works perfectly

I needed a way to step away from the camera while doing group portraits. This remote makes that possible without a lot of equipment or cables. It is simple and it does exactly what it is intended to do for a rather cheap price.

Cheap, Light, Durable, Inconspicuous

Works as described

Its a remote that works as such..... So yea it's tiny and just make sure you stand in the front of the camera when trying to take a photo.

Cool little gadget

This item was bought for use with my Canon EOS T2i/550d. It was a bit pricey @ $41.99, but it was available locally. The Wireless Remote works perfectly and gives me an opportunity to do long astronomical exposures using the camera's "bulb" setting...

Ease of use, compatibility with other camera models, cool little storage pouch

Line of sight only operation

No Brainer!

This is such an obvious purchase. Canon should just supply it automatically with every camera! The remote works just as advertised. It sure beats setting the timer then running back into the picture frame.
