Logitech Harmony 1100i Advanced Universal Remote Review

The Logitech Harmony 1100i is a capable 3.5-inch touchscreen universal remote that isn't very complicated to use. It has a design that separates it from the rest of the remotes. While not everyone may be comfortable with it, the touchscreen bit is fun...

Simple set-up, Controls 15 devices, Good remote range and signal, Touchscreen works well, Tablet style design is comfortable to hold, Charging dock included

No RF module as a part of the package, Post setup configuration is confusing, Too many screens for certain devices, It costs a lot of money

Logitech Harmony 1100i

Logitech's Harmony 1100i universal remote control is an update to the company's Harmony 1000i. Despite a few frustrations, the minor software and desi...

Customisable interface, controls multiple devices simultaneously, huge remote control database, "learn remote" feature

Some interface lag, remote can get confused, no Bluetooth

The Logitech Harmony 1100i universal remote control will control just about every electronic device on the planet (bar the PlayStation 3). The interface could be a little faster, but the 1100i is still a great way to replace that stack of plastic on...

Logitech Harmony 1100i

Stylish but spartan, the Logitech Harmony 1100i is a luxurious tablet-style universal remote, and while a step up from the previous model it has its disadvantages.

Luxurious look and feel ; High degree of customisation ; Good touchscreen

Expensive ; Lack of hard buttons can be frustrating ; Takes a long time to get working as you like

Conclusion Touchscreen remotes are a matter of preference, but if you are used to remotes with more "buttons" then you may find it hard to come to terms with the Logitech. Adding to this, our crappy dollar has meant Logitech has tacked an extra hundred...

Harmony 1100i Advanced Universal Remote Control

Universal remote controls are responsible for just one thing — to command the myriad technological marvels on the opposite side of the living room. Yet most candidates struggle with this responsibility, thanks mainly to the growing complexity of the...

While the 1100i comes much closer to replacing a coffee-table full of remote controls than the 1000i managed to do, the two-handed operation required by its tablet design, and the need to cast an eye on the display due to its ever-changing display of...
