Logitech Harmony 300i

Editors' note: Confused about how this model stacks up to other Harmony remotes? See CNET's Which Logitech universal remote is right for you? for updated comparisons and recommendations.

Solid universal remote with good ergonomics; updated wizard-style setup software is optimized for tech novices and works on Windows or Mac PCs; ultra-affordable price tag.

The Harmony 300 only controls four devices and requires a computer with Internet access to configure. For just $30 more, the step-up model adds an LCD screen and uses the activity-based commands that Harmony is known for.

If you're looking for a cheap and easy universal remote--and you can live with its streamlined feature set--the Logitech Harmony 300 is a great choice.

very touchy to work. didn't return because it would cost almost as much to return it as it cost ($9.99). no wonder it was so cheap.

This may be the 1st time we have gotten a remote that is truly working with each of the entertainment units.

Programmable Logitech Harmony 300 Universal Remote

This universal remote actually works! The micro USB interface makes programming the remote for any TV or DVD easy. No pressing, holding buttons and entering codes. I purchased a refurbished Harmony 300 for ten dollars less than retail.

Excellent remote for the price. Not Fancy but works great for a basic remote. Controls 4 devices. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a basic remote. Easy to program.

This one is easy. How did I go so long without this. Should have bought one a long time ago. Perfect.

Not a true Harmony remote

This is not a bad programmable remote, but the problem I have with it is that Logitech calls it a Harmony remote, implying that it is an entry-level model in the popular Harmony family. Unfortunately that's not the case, as it lacks the key feature of...

Vast online device library, programmable button layout, TV mode shortcut button

No activity modes, no LCD display, limited programming

An in-between device, better than a basic remote, not as good as a Harmony remote, list price too expensive for what it does.

Best universal remote yet

I especially liked the computer interface feature for programming; very simple. The keys are well layed out, and the remote appears to have been designed with the end user in mind, instead of what some engineer wanted. I highly recommend this remote to...
