I run my Denon AVR 889 , xbox 360 , toshiba h... 

Easy install software , answer some simple questions , use remote. remote is smart enough to know what is on and what is off. If you get in trouble( had to do) use help. Done

Odd equipment may need to be manually set. I have Pscylone remote for the PS3 some what works.
