Does the job

Way way WAY too many complaints on this very simple device. No stop button only somewhat sucks, but def not worthy to torpedo the rating solely because of it. The only valid complaint would be that it doesn't change TV channels, which I haven't run...

It does what it's meant to do... controls the XBOX without having to turn on a controller. I've had it for a month and the range seems fine. I spend 2 years using one of my controllers to watch movies and such, so this thing is a VERY welcome change!...

If there is an ergonomics department at Microsoft, they were clearly not consulted in the making of this device. It is almost the exact same shape right side up as it is up side down, so it's almost impossible to tell without looking, which gets...

Not sure what all the complaining is about.

If you are thinking of not buying this because of all the 1-star reviews, I really think people are overreacting. If you are like me, and you've been using the xbox controller to watch Netflix and DVDs, this is a HUGE improvement, and I wouldn't...

feels well-built, navigates menus flawlessly, really easy to setup the TV programming

like most reviewers have stated, you've got to point it right at the xbox, and can't be too far away, but really, how far away from your xbox do you need to be

I wanted a replacement for my xbox controller. I though a remote would be more convenient. This remote only works directly in front of the console. The max range seems to be less than 10 feet, and there can not be any obstruction in the way at all, and...

It's a remote ; easy to set up

Very very poor range

Lite Weight

Nice Looking

This thing is a awkwardly small. It feels like you are holding a Popsicle stick. No media center button, need to use the "back" button to bring up the MC guide which, for me, is okay but for the fact this this thing feels like it's going to break...

I bought this remote to use with the 360 Media Center. I must say it's garbage. I have to point it directly at my 360 or it doesn't work. Even if I tilt it just a little it stops working. Avoid this like the plague. Either try find the original white...

It looks nice

Pitiful range, extremely weak signal, very unresponsive D-pad bordering on useless

Poor for TV, ok for DVD

For DVD or Netflix use, it's fine, but if you use your XBOX as an extender, you'll find the remote difficult to use. Entering a channel# directly is almost impossible with a single hand, especially if your channel has a 0, such as 600, and the most...

Supports most TV's, easy to use

Small, no backlight, number keys too low on remote

Met 50% of my expectations.

I have a Vizio television. To be fair, the feature I am missing may work on other televisions. I rated 2/5 because it is still useful and works, it's just not useful to me.

Works great with Xbox 360 as a media remote

The only functions this remote has on my television is volume control, aux input channel change, and power. It was my intention to consolidate remotes, but I can't do this because this remote cannot change channels on my television (I do not use a...

I bought this remote just to use with Netflix basically and it works great for that. I have not tried the TV part of it yet, but I'm sure it's just icing on the cake.

Works well. Connected to the xbox-360 right away, did not have to sync or anything. Nice battery cover, which is also the entire back of the remote. Has all the essential buttons you may need to navigate through the dashboard and menus. Well worth the...

Have to point the remote directly at the xbox-360 for it to work, unlike the game controllers. You need line of sight basically. Doesn't have LT or RT buttons needed to scroll through things sideways, no biggie though
