Could be better

One remote allows you to control all your electronics

Key layout and design could be much better. All playback keys on the unit have the same shape which makes it much harder to find the right button, especially in low light ; Keys backlight is not convenient. The unit assumes to let you enter...

simple and awsome

I read about it dying in about a year,I hope thats not the case, so far i highly recomend this remote, and one more thought, the buttons are not to small unless you have extra large hands

simply awsome remote, I hooked it to my computer told it what equipment i wanted to use it for and hit go, the software did the rest. simple, easy, fast!!!. this thing even controls my western digital media player. it has full function on every piece of...

the software that came whith it is only for xp and vista? so i went to logiteh site and downloaded it for windows 7.not a real big con but i thought i would mention it

bought this because it was on sale and cheap. Internet set up does work and controls all except PS3

buttons are too small, batteries don't last long

Out of warranty and dead

Part of the premium you pay for these remotes is for build quality, and this is pretty disappointing. I won't be buying another Logitech remote.

Nice remote... while it lasted

The LCD went blank just after the warranty expired, and without it, it is easier to manually turn everything on and off than to try to use the 550 by trial and error

great deal

works great and replaces 4 remotes

none really especially for the price. If i had known how easy it is to set up i would have spent more and got one with more features

Logitech Harmony 550 Advanced Universal Infrared Remote Control

Must be connected to computer in order to 'learn' commands... ? ?? ... Would be nice if it could learn commands w/o having to connect to the computer.

Extremely easy to set up

There is a bit of a delay from when you press a button to when it happens... Also I've used the directional pad to control my ps3, but holding down the button dosn't repeat the button press. large menu's are a bit hard to go through

Unreal

The instructions don't say anything about the internal motion sensor, which made me thing something was broken inside when I heard it rattling. They also don't mention that the 5-key is intentionally recessed (for easy finding) which made me think it...

Brilliant remote. Software has had all the bugs worked out. Old reviews bash mac support, but that seems to have changed ; The blue backlight is really nice, and I prefer it to a colour touch screen ; The classic, hand-friendly shape is much nicer and...

Shipped with a few big scratches on the top case

Piece of Junk

Do not buy recertified/refurbished with limited warraties.

Its a Harmony remote. Anyone that has ever used one will understand why they are so great

I bought a recertified remote. Only came with 90 day warranty. It worked great for the first couple months. Shortly after that the wife started complaining that it wasnt working right. I initially thought that it was user error because I could never...

Broke after about 1 year

Easy to set up. Motion sensitive backlight, so it glows when you pick it up. Controlled everything from one remote

Broke after 1 year of use. I was looking to replace it anyway, because as some have remarked, the buttons are too small. I feel like I'm texting when I type in a channel number. Its just too cramped and small on the keypad

Consumer review by:

so easy!

Why are you still thinking about it! if ya made it this far, buy one of these remotes!

Software is so user friendly it'll make ya cry. no matter how twisted your entertainment system is this remote will make it work. No matter how old your devices are. this remote will pick it up

Frustration may try to win, but read what the software tells ya, and in the end the remote will work the way you want
