Ridiculous connector, outrageous price

Olympus's choice of USB as the connector is an insult to its customers. Canon may charge well over $100 for a remote timer with a dumb connector, but at least that remote IS A TIMER with several modes. Its connector is still a simple three-pole switch...

I can't say there's anything that will make up for such an inept implementation of a simple switch

Inexplicable use of a USB connector for a shutter release. This needless complexity puts stress on the USB terminal and prevents you from fashioning a workaround for Olympus's failure to provide interval timers on its cameras. A $40-50 SWITCH

Overpriced

Overpriced

Like everything made for photography this item is way too expensive, but, if you want it, you have to pay the price. It works but I will never use it enough to justify what it cost. That's my problem.

Overpriced, but necessary.

Overpriced, but necessary.

I've been happy with the quality of this remote device, and it does the job. It does seem over-priced for what you get, and it should be longer so that you can distance yourself from the camera.

I use it to avoid camera shake in low light situations. It works well for this use.

I recently purchased this item. It arrived quickly and looks well made. I haven't had a chance to play with it but I can say that the seller did a good job of getting it to me.

Camera Remote Cable

This product does exactly what it claims. You simply set up your shot, review it with a half press of the button, then when your ready, just press the button completely. The only thing that would make this product better is to have it wireless. For...

Remote Shutter Cable

The product works as described but the cable is way too short. The strain relief at the camera is also in need for improvement.

Olympus wired shutter remote

Olympus wired shutter remote

This device functions flawlessly with my E-510. Push the button half way for AF and fully depress it to activate shutter. The only problem I have with it is the short cable, its only 2.8 feet long.
