Limited range

Showed up quickly

Range on this remote/receiver turned out to be much less than expected. Once about 15 feet away from the IR receiver remote doesn't function consistently

Works

You get what you pay for -- the remote works better than I expected it to. I can't say if I love or hate anything about it. It's a MCE remote. It was used daily for over a year. Eventually the wireless receiver gave out. It performed as well as one...

Works right out of the box

Died after a year and a half, so basically just out of warranty

Works Great

My HTPC seems to sleep sometimes and cant be awakened by the remote, but I don't think its the fault of the remote and dongle. A double click of the PS2 Mouse doesn't wake the computer either.

Works Great and is know by Logitech My Harmony remote program so I can control the PC with that

Longevity Issues

Until it died on me, i was quite happy with it. But, for a remote to stop working (actually i think the problem is the reviver) in under a year- is just unacceptable. Because I was actually impressed with how well it performed otherwise, i can't bring...

IR LEDs are bright (It's IR, you won't see it with the naked eye) and the receiver works great while it lasts ; Button Layout is good ; RC6 Compliant

After a few months it just randomly stopped working and no amount of changing batteries or checking drivers did anything to help. Checked it on another machine to be sure it wasn't some sort of software bug and of course- it wasn't

Cheap; Works

I only really use this for volume and switching tracks... I don't use the Netflix compatibility.

It works ; It's cheap ; It does exactly what it says it does, without hiccups

Dongle is annoyingly fat. Had to rearrange USBs. I survived

A great value

This remote is IR which means you need to have the IR dongle in view of the remote. An RF dongle would be better, but then the remote would be priced accordingly. No eggs docked.

I bought this for use as an XBMC remote on a Win7 HTPC. I recommend you install the XBMC.org MCERomote addon. Then this remote really shines. Without this addon only a few of the buttons work ; For the price this remote cannot be beat. 5 eggs

The remote's green Start button automatically launches Windows Media Center in Win7. You need to search for and install a utility that changes the green button so it launches XBMC if that's what you are running. I used the one at inchoatethoughts.com....

One out of two

The purchased was based on the reviews (positive) on newegg's website, so I am just letting the other users know that there may be lemons among them. If a Rosewill CSR reads this, he/she may contact me if there is something that can be done to fix this.

First of all, the remotes came well packaged. A USB extension cable was provided. The receiver is quite small and unobtrusive. Newegg shipped it fast

Unfortunately for me, one of the remotes has "broken" buttons, in that on the directional pad, the down and right buttons do not work. It costs too much to send the remote back, so I am stuck with a semi-working device

Works fine out of the box with XBMCbuntu - had to redefine a couple of buttons with the config but that's not the fault of the remote

Fat fingering the sleep button shut off my MPC so redefined the button in the config to an innocuous function
