it's alright

i have an older model rrc-127 that is basically this remote with a few differences. 1) spacing between the arrow keys 2) slightly wider, but not much 3) it lacks the red, green, yellow, blue buttons. (i wish it had those) 4) circular play/pause/etc...

works like it should

buttons are small. arrow buttons are small and close together, no spacing between them. makes it a chore to press the button and not hit another button

Aweomse controller for Windows Media and XBMC

I got this on sale for just ten bucks! I would not recommend paying anything over twenty bucks on this controller. With that being said..it is definitely worth its price. No...it's not an expensive Logitech remote with customizable buttons or touch...

Quality build with plastic ; Buttons are solid ; Design is simple but works ; Small foot print controller which fits in one hand and one hand operation ; Plug and play..no need for 3rd party drivers ; All buttons are mapped very well for use ; I love...

I know it's just a cheap remote for Windows Media and/or XBMC but I would of loved some customize able buttons and maybe a little touch screen

Good size and weight. Responsive and inexpensive

Although it is designed for Windows Media Center, I was hoping it would work with other apps and sites such as YouTube and Netflix. Also, it tends to power on my Xbox 360 yet doesn't do anything else with it

Small, flimsy, difficult buttons

Buttons for basically all WMC functions ; Plug 'n' play - no 3rd-party drivers, no config required

Small, flimsy buttons are difficult to press and hard on the fingers ; Buttons wear out quickly, requiring harder and harder presses ; The playback controls are at the top of the remote, but the contour of the bottom of the remote fits best in the...

Good remote for the price

Cheap ; Works with MPC-HC and XBMC ; Immediately recognized by Windows 8.1

Included usb cable was too short for the gap between my case and my TV, had to use a longer cable

Stopped working when OS Reloaded

The Newegg site says this unit needs no drivers. Is that true?

Worked great when I first built the home theater a couple years ago

Replaced the hard drive with an SSD, reloaded Windows 7 Home Premium on that drive - now the remote is dead. I went to the Rosewill site and downloaded the driver, but it did nothing to fix my problem. Useless junk

Rosewill Media Center Remote

Had this for over a year and still works great. Power button at the top puts pc to sleep. Works well with Media center

batteries it came with didn't last long maybe a few months, but batteries that come with products rarely ever do

Works. Cord too short

I bought this strictly for the IR receiver as I use Harmony remotes with my HTPCs. The included USB extension cord is only 1 ft long. At that length your only choice is to put the receiver next to your HTPC. A 3 ft cord would have been much better,...

Works as WMC IR receiver for Win 7 ; IR receiver is small and compact

Included USB cord is only 1 ft long

Great Deal

Plugged in, works out of the box with no need to install extra software. Used on Windows Media Center HTPC running Windows 7. Great buy if you catch it on sale

It's a smaller remote with smaller buttons of course. If you have large hands it will take a moment to get used to, but not too bad at all. Still worth it in my book ; It also doesn't make grilled cheese sandwiches, but for the price I am not...

Decent remote

Got this as a spare and to use on a networked Win7 machine, accessing media files on my HTPC. WMC is probably Microsoft's best program. If you haven't played with WMC yet, give it a shot. It's awesome!

Plug and play - I plugged in the infrared receiver, gave Windows 7 a minute to install the software automatically, and it worked. No extra software was needed, although it came with a disc. Remote was not immediately compatible with my Hauppage TV...

I don't like the button placement. Due to the curvature of the bottom of the remote, when held "naturally" my thumb ends up exactly on the "OK" button. The pause, play, cue, ff, and rew buttons are far enough forward that I have to slide my hand up to...
