I paid 80somthing$ a few weeks ago, for that price I love it. Wait till it goes on sale.

Very easy setup, even worked on 20+ yr old Pioneer stereo without having to use the learning function

Like others have said poor instructions, but if you can use a pc, you can find nice video review/inst. online. Once in a while it will missfire a macro

Easy as 1,2,3

Love that it has a built in battery meter and is backlit for all keys.Very easy to see at night.

Setup was a breeze.I dont need anything fancy and need to keep it simple for the wife.I only needed to control one tv a receiver my sat and a dvd player. All of which were in the basic setup including my oppo dvd player.Had everything up and running in...

I agree with other reviews there should be a better user manual.Mainly for setting up macros. The tips guide on the remote is of little help.Trial and error is just frustrating

Great remote but...

Given the great programmability and flexibility of the R50 using macros, I think they shouldn't have skimped on the NVRAM. Just loading the Sharp Aquos, the Samsung DVD, and my Zenith DTV convert remote used 49% of the 32MB available memory, and it is...

Very nicely featured and the user settings for screen brightness and display time is an excellent touch. Easy to set up once you get going, since on-screen tips help guide you. The ability to customize the display of "in-device" buttons for a given...

No "Device Button" category or codes for DTV tuner boxes, for those not subscribing to a paid cable or satellite service. Does not contain all manufacturer codes for the various pre-loaded device types. Did not have the proper code for my 46" Sharp...

Will not work with ADB 5810

Will not work with ADB 5810 set-top box. Single ADB code set interacts with the 5810, but not functionally. Search of all code sets in the device is negative. LEARN function never even goes to "Ready" state when interacting with the ADB 5810 remote. A...

This thing is great, unlike most Uni-remotes that have different names from the presets you can program and name each button thats not named on the remote.Works for every TV, component I own........Love this thing

Having to show the wife all over again how to use this remote for all the stuff in the

Not For Me

I'm mechanically inclined and fear no task. This remote pushed my buttons to the point of sending it back & getting URC MX-500. I told URC if they just had an on-line manual i could go to, i may have kept the R-50

EZ basic set-up & fun to beat ; BUT

No manual -you need more then web forums for the advanced set-up & the nicely folded sheet of paper they give you

Excelent! does everything and more!

One feature worth mentioning in the advanced setup is the "copy paste" The unit allows you to copy your sound settings (and many other things). Lets say for example you use a receiver for all audio and not your TV or cable box to control your sound,...

I like many users out there needed a universal remote to replace having multiple ones. The R50 is the greatest universal remote I've ever used. The initial setup took about 10 minutes and had me up and running with my samsung LED TV, Cable HD DVR and...

I know someone commented on the battery life however I haven't experienced anything that would lead me to believe it goes dead sooner than any other battery powered remote, it even has a battery meter like you would see on most cell phones

Nice remote

I am very glad I purchased this. The pile of remotes I was using to operate everything was a real pain. Even the remotes that could used to operate other equipment didn't quite do everything so I always had to have the original standing by. This is...

This remote looks and feels solid and very nice. The buttons are responsive and so far operate everything I need it to

Setup wasn't bad, but wish there were more instructions included. Still haven't attempted any macros, which I understand are through trial and error

Great Remote

I was debating getting this or sticking with my DTV or other devices functionality. After I got it and played with it for less then 30 minutes, I was glad I made the decision to buy.

Probably one of the best additions you can make to your home entertainment system. This remote can do it all and you can custom program any remtoe if it doesn't have a code for the device. It was very easy to get out of the box and setup my main...

More advance functions too some trial and error. Instructions could be better, but honest not worth even an egg-duction
