Great Buy

Lastly, I would suggest that you read the entire manual AND watch the setup DVD before you attempt to program the remote. so you can fully understand the basic and advanced program features.

This remote does exactly what is says it does. IT REPLACES ALL YOUR REMOTES!!!!! I was able to replace my onkyo, cable set top box and blu-ray remote with ease. And the best part was since my equipment was RF compatible I did not need to purchase the...

I actually don't have any cons about the remote, since I am an installer and the basic and advance setup came easy for me. The only problem I can see is if you are not technically advanced you may encounter headaches setting up the remote. But if you...

Deceptive Representations From Company

I have two RF20s and have had a higher end model for over a year. I bought this 2nd RF20 to replace an RF10 that is somehow mysteriously no longer working. It has been act like the signal gets weaker over time, which should not be happening. I've had...

Does what it says -- sometimes

You can't clone one RF20 to another unless they are exactly the same. They upgraded the model without upgrading the model number. I bought this so I wouldn't have to spend time programming it for all my devices and could just clone my old RF20, but...

Pro version of Harmony

I come from three harmony remotes. I've been a long time user of harmony remotes but this takes it to a new level. Harmony is great if you just want the remote to work. This remote is great if you don't mind taking the time to set it up. This remote...

Big disappointment

None anymore

No backwards compatability. The reason I bought this was to replace my failing unit made a few years ago. Seems they changed the firmware and I can no longer copy the programming from one unit to another. Now I have to spend all the time...

Not so good....

I have 2 Harmony 880 remotes Anyone who says it's a pain to setup shouldn't buy ANY universal remote. This thing is a piece of cake to setup and set activities (more than 1, I set up 3). The reason I changed to the RF20, is that the 880 has a cradle to...

Does what it says, but not too well

This thing is BIG AND HEAVY! But that's the least of it's problems. For one thing, you can only set up 1 macro, so if you think you can use it for 2 set ups, like living room, bedroom, you're wrong. I have 3 setups and I could only program this thing...

We have several "universal" remotes that have been huge disappointments. This remotes accurately controls our cable box/dvr, home theater, dvd player, vcr and xbox 360. It works and was considerably less money than some of the fancier brands. Our old...

Easy to program, controls all of our equipment, lighted buttons/display with one button activation (otherwise it is not lighted which saves battery life), excellent feel, does what it promises to do-what more could yoiu want

Nothing we can find so far

Good with one major drawback.

If you need RF, for the money, this remote can't be beat. I may just buy another one and sync them together in case it ever does break. It's still cheaper than the more expensive options.

Great remote for RF functions ; Low cost and easy to use ; Quick setup ; Nice feel

No backup. My only problem with this is that there is no connection to computer. If were to ever break, There is no way to save all the work I put into programming it. I've used other remotes that let me simulate the macros on a PC to ensure they work...

Universal Remote Controls RF20 Universal Infrared / RF Remote Control

This is about as good as it gets. The beauty of this device is how cheap it is ; you can afford to buy many of them. It's the perfect solution for whole house A/V distribution. At each of our TV's, we have an RF20. The RF feature allows control of...

The only real con is that it only supports one RF channel. As long as your neighbors don't buy one, you'll be fine. So, don't brag about how great this is to them

Simply to use remote with loads of features.

Best universal remote I have ever used! Easy to program and works seemlessly with all devices (audio/video reciver, dvd player, tv, and cable box) ; I like the lcd display and toggle functions
