The Audiovox XpressR is a full-featured XM radio receiver with a 30-minute recording buffer for pausing and replaying live programming. A unique split-screen display function makes browsing channels a cinch.

The XpressR comes with everything you'll need for a do-it-yourself car installation, but users looking to use the receiver in their home will need to purchase an extra kit. At best, self-installation is an awkward tangle of wires.

If you can spend the extra money for a professional installation, the Audiovox XpressR offers one of the best-looking, fully loaded XM radio receivers on the market.

I started with XM for a promotional rate of $77 per year. When I went to renew the rate was doubled to $142 per year. This was after they lost my account info and had me on hold for twenty five minutes. I refused to pay such a ridiculous increase and...

Be aware: dual antenna setup

The installation requires a dual antenna setup for it to work properly. An antenna for the satellite and another for the internal car radio to pick the signal up. I can only assume its because the XM receiver does not have sufficient transmit power...
