BT Vision V-Box review

BT joins the pay-per-view revolution

Small construction ; Quiet operation ; Polished EPG ; Tasty remote ; Good connectivity

Prone to crashing and erratic behaviour

BT deserves credit for being first to market with the V-Box, but will need to iron out a few bugs to stay ahead of the game

BT Vision V-Box review

BT Vision's V-Box is a Freeview digital tuner that combines personal video recording (PVR) functionality and also offers on-demand TV like movies

Affordable basic package ; easy to use ; good off-air performance ; surprisingly effective ‘streamed’ video quality ; good range of content

No HD or 5.1 (as yet) ; some pricing seems too high

It’s intriguing, effective and worth a look – adding some HD programming and some price reductions would help cement its case

BT Vision V-box review

While BT's IPTV service isn't new, the company has now introduced a self-install option, which means you don't have to pay £60 and wait in for an engineer to do it for you.

Sky+ has long been king of the PVR kingdom, but can BT's new on-demand revolutionary depose it from its throne?
