NFUSION NOVA SATELLITE RECEIVER

NFUSION Nova is a discontinued model, meaning "no customer support." Plus, NFUSION's servers have been down since December 3rd. Before you buy any satellite receiver, check the FTA satellite hobbyist websites to find out which boxes are "up" and...

Manhattan Plaza DT50

Easy to connect, and a good picture. However, sound level is much lower. When I switch off power then on again soon after, it does not operate. It seems to need to 'cool down'.

Sonic View SV8000 High Definition Free-to-air Satellite Receiver

The only channels I was able to pick up was the local channels here in New York city. All other channels are blocked! I believe you must use your own satelite dish to get anything else.

Coolsat 7000 Time Machine USB Free-to-Air PVR

This is a very nice FTA receiver, easy to set up and very simple to use. Of course, it only gets the two "free" channels if you are trying to use it for bootlegging DISH network, but if you use it the way it was intended - true Free-To-Air television...

Kubik Scart Freeview Receiver DVB-T Adapter Box

The idea is fine: a scart dongle plugs into the back of the TV. All that you see of the whole setup is the little device that receives the signal from the unit's remote control. Units similar to this have been around for some time. Problems begin with...

TU-DST52 HDTV Tuner - Set Top Box

The TU-DST52 is just over 11 inches wide and 7 inches deep, and costs $340. No receiver is smaller, and, as far as I know, none is cheaper. Compare this to Panasonic's first receiver, the TU-DST50, which went on sale in fall 1998. It was 17 inches...

Terk XMicro XM Satellite Radio Antenna

Removing the pink plastic part on the antenna connector is not a snap. Following the instructions on the insert did absolutely nothing for me. I had to break the plastic off to get it removed. Works fine once you get that piece of plastic off.
