You don't own it!

I'm on my third unit. The unit works as advertised just hope it lasts 2 years. I give it 1 egg for the lack of effective advertising explaining the hidden costs/responsibility of "leasing" and service committments.

Because You need it now, Great New EGG customer service because you bought it here. Great NewEgg pricing

The cost of this receiver is a "lease fee". Direct TV will gladly activate a new/replace an old unit and extend/establish your contract two years. You will also have to send it back to Direct tv if it breaks or you cancel service because you DON'T own...

Thanks Newegg!

I ordered it from and it arrived the very next afternoon! That's unbelievable service - with standard ground shipping at that! Thanks!

This unit replaced an original Hughes HIRD-E25 receiver ; Easy to set up and get activated. Directv is providing a new Slimline SWM 5 LNB dish and installing it for no charge... can't beat that. The picture and sound quality are both outstanding

None, so far

Hell of a lot better than the H20.

Newer, runs cooler, UI F/W is far more stable and has better features, sleeker looking, and the power light doesn't stay on all derned night. oh, and all sorts of neat cables, whether you use HDMI or Component

shrugs ; It came with the card. Think the guy who didn't receive one got unlucky

no surprises

If you want HD DirecTV but don't want a DVR this is your only choice.

Comes with HDMI (ok) and component (marginal) cables
