I was surprised to see all the positive reviews for this DVR then I realized it wasn't for this product but the invention of the DVR itself. I don't think these reviewers owned any other DVD's prior to the review.

I ordered it from Newegg.com and it arrived the very next afternoon! That's unbelievable service - with standard ground shipping at that! Thanks!

This unit replaced an original Hughes HIRD-E25 receiver ; Easy to set up and get activated. Directv is providing a new Slimline SWM 5 LNB dish and installing it for no charge... can't beat that. The picture and sound quality are both outstanding

Just so u know

 

Just so you know.... buying this box does not mean you don't have to pay the lease fee on it. The price you pay here is just like the down payment for leasing a car. DirecTV will still charge $4.99/ mo lease fee.

It's DirecTV's standard HD box Works great.

Shipping was extremely fast! Newegg.com delivered again!! DirecTV wanted to charge $126 delivered, Newegg charged $93, and I get a few live.com bucks to boot.
