If you like sport, don't buy this radio

Don't but this radio if you like sports. You can't store your favorite NFL or College teams and it has no game alerts as did the older Starmates. You can't store NASCAR drivers etc. This radio has went downhill from the previous Starmates.

Attractive Design","Clear Display","Easy To Install","Reliable Reception

Good Product, be mindful of connection

Good Product, be mindful of connection

This is a great choice if you're a new Sirius subscriber. The radio with a big screen/LCD type look is a waste of money if you live up north where the cold weather can cause the screen to freeze. The "pause" capability is exactly like a DVR/Tivo in...

not as good as older radios

not as good as older radios

I replaced a 3 year starmate model with this newer one. To my suprise it would not use the same open radio setting as my 3 older models(88.1). According to Sirius tech support the newer radios by FCC ruling do not transmit with same power as older...

Starmate 5

A VERY FINE SERVICE FOR EWTN LISTENING

I think Starmate Five alacart is good receiver, other than very limited FM MODULATER so plug in Cassette adaptor recomended, or direct. Some bad as no free change alowed only programming once is free. Then Five $'s to add or delete. Again this is a...

This other reviewer has no idea what he is talking about

This item was released WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY before the XM sirius merger. Meaning this product has nothing to do with any agreements. Not only did the other reviewer put no input on the device itself, but Basically only stated he wanted it cheaper... A.K.A.,...

Starmate represents an FCC Violation

Starmate represents an FCC Violation

When the government approved the XM/Sirius merger, they did so on the condition that they provide an a la Carte option to subscribers. The Starmate 5 is the only radio that is capable of a la Carte service. However, its price is way high for the...
