Despite a degree of what we'd loosely called "innovation" in the PVR market, none has bettered the convenience and usability of Sky+. So straightforward is the Sky control system it's difficult to imagine a more effective way to view, record and browse...

Well featured, nice to use

TopUpTV listings not particularly accessible, no choice over downloaded content from a channel

Thomson has produced a solid enough PVR with additional content available if you choose to subscribe

A dual tuner PVR with optional TopUpTV subscription

Well featured ; easy to use ; free month's trial of Topuptv provided

Upcoming Topuptv listings difficult to view ; no choice over downloaded content

Despite a few niggles Thomson's box does a good job as a PVR, and the Topuptv service will appeal if you like the content.
