The scanner works fine because it is a replacement. Had it not been a replacement it would have been a total failure - it came without instructions or a CD to load the drivers into my computer!!!

Quite good for normal/causal use e.g. scanning photos, text etc. If you have an original photo in very good quality, this scanner can get you the same copy, but if you need the photos increased in sized.. not a very good choice!

This scanner will NOT work with Vista. HP has no Vista driver for it, and apparently no intention of ever supplying one. A generic scanner program doesn't seem to solve the problem either. don't try this with Vista.
