Canon CanoScan 8800F

By M. David Stone (pcmag.com)

The Canon CanoScan 8800F flatbed scanner works well on both prints and film.

High-quality scans, particularly for prints. Backlight correction feature. LED light source eliminates warm-up time.

Scratch removal feature has little to no effect. Scans only four slides at a time.

In the niche category of flatbed scanner that scans film and prints, the Canon CanoScan 8800F delivers high quality with impressive consistency.

Canon's recipe for the CanoScan 8800F ($199.99 direct) seems simple. Start wi...

Review: Canon Canoscan 8800F scanner

By Anthony Dhanendran (Computeract!ve)

Good quality scans at a fair price

Comes with great software Good quality scans

Scanning can be a bit slow Bulky device

Canon's Canoscan 8800F is a traditional flatbed scanner, as opposed to the combined printer-scanners that are more popular nowadays.

Does everything I want

By eippo1 (newegg.com)

Quite fast and does high quality scans. I was pretty happy to find that the cover lifts off for oversize scans because I often scan in 18x24 images and link them in photoshop.

I find that it often cuts off parts of the scan when I bypass the preview.

Office use review Wicked Good!

By SLOJES (newegg.com)

Scanning has come a long way from the older umax scanner I had to this 8800F. So fast and easy it is wicked!

This review will differ somewhat from the other reviews which seem primarily focused on photo and film scanning. My primary use is in an office, though I also wanted a scanner good at photos and bought this one based on positive reviews in that regard.

None so far, I love this scanner. Have not yet scanned a photo (only documents) though so can't speak for that yet.

BUY BUY BUY Canon rocks

Sweet this scanner rocks. Quiet, fast, let's you turn the power off and on with no re boot, quick software. I will never buy a hp scanner again, 2x they did not support the next os platform, crummy software buggy and makes you read 3x hp spash screen ever...
