Canon CanoScan LiDE 100

When all-in-ones (AIOs) first started taking over from single-function inkjets in a big way several years ago, a lot of people predicted that flatbed scanners for home use would fade away. Instead, scanners have held their own, mostly by upping...

High-quality photo scans. Backlight correction. Color restore. Dust removal. Scan to searchable PDF format

Bundled software offers limited functionality. Relatively slow

The Canon CanoScan LiDE 100 is one of the few remaining scanners aimed at home users who are primarily interested in scanning photographic prints.

Canon CanoScan LIDE 100 Flatbed Scanner

The CanoScan LIDE 100 Flatbed Scanner works well with plenty of options to do a good job for home users. It's a little slow to scan, but that can be overlooked for the price.

Easy to use, with a nice low profile, compatible with Windows XP, this has many options to tweak your photos. This is the first scanner to offer an option to play music while you wait for it to finish

a little slow to scan

This scanner works great. Small footprint and looks good. Scans real nice. I scanned some photos, they came out perfact. Don't let the price fool you. Nice features like the high price scanners.

Dont Buy It!

I bought this scanner on sept 2009. It worked fine, not great picture quality but I mostly scan text, so no big deal on quality. After more than 2 years and probably no more than 100 scans it just stopped working. Yes, it worked for more than 2 years,...

We purchased this for occasional use in the office for our bookkeeper, and it works well. No problems within the first few weeks.

Works good with Win 7 - a Very Reliable Workhorse!

We've had the Canon LIDE 100 for several years and used it for thousands of images. It's an amazing workhorse and I'm very pleased with quality of the images. I use my Canon LIDE 100 with Windows 7 and basically don't have any problems since I figured...

Sloooooooow

We wanted an inexpensive scanner, and we got what we paid for. The scanner itself does a decent job of scanning images, but it isn't as quick as I'd like. It was easy to install, and it works every time we need it. We only scan maybe five pages a week,...

Good Basic Scanner

A very nice basic scanner at a great price. It gets its power from the USB cord so no extra power cords to fool with. Hard to beat for the price.

Product Specifications

This is simple, high-performance scanning at its best. Four easy buttons automate the entire process, and the new Auto Scan mode makes it even easier: It actually detects the type of original you're scanning - a photo, business card, notebook or form - automatically adjusts settings for the optimal results, then scans and saves the image. Your results will amaze you, with color dpi resolution up to 2400 x 4800. You can also create fabulous 19200 x 19200 software-enhanced (extrapolated) scans. The Advanced Z-Lid enables clear, complete scans even of thick originals such as notebooks. Built-in retouching technology further enhances your final images with automatic corrections for dust and scratches, fading, graininess and backlighting. And to reduce the number of wires in your work area, one simple cable provides power and a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed connection.
